BROOKE'S P.O.V:
I woke up to the sound of the doorbell ringing. I had a pair of strong arms wrapped around me, but I didn't know who's arms. I looked up and saw Hayes' face. He was asleep. What the hell? Did we fall asleep like that last night? Hayes' tv was still on and it made me remember. We watched movies last night and must've fallen asleep during one of them. I turned around, so our faces were close together. I could almost imagine kissing him. Almost. The voices downstairs made me focus my attention on them, rather than Hayes' soft lips. I tried to figure out what they were saying, and it took me around two seconds to recognize Nash's voice.
"They're asleep upstairs", I heard Nash say. It became clear to me that they talked about us. Hayes and I. We were asleep upstairs. "Let's go and scare them". I couldn't sort out who that was. Maybe one of Nash's friends that I hadn't met yet. "No, we can't do that!" I heard Mahogany say. Wait. Mahogany? I freaked out inside of me. And a little on the outside as well. My arm was shaking and I felt Hayes grab it to keep it still. He was waking up as well. "Yeah, she's right. Let's just go upstairs and check on them". That voice was definitely Camerons. When did he get here? I heard a dozen footsteps making their way up the stairs. For some reason I was slightly embarrassed to be found like this. Therefore, I snuggled closer up to Hayes' chest and pretended to be asleep. His arms tightened around me. He was clearly thinking the same. They all came in the door.
"How cute. Are they dating?" an unfamiliar voice said. No. "No, they're not", another voice said. "How do you know?" a third voice chirped in. "I'm Hayes' brother and basically Brooke's brother as well. They aren't dating". My heart skipped a beat when Nash called himself my brother. He was right. We were as close as any brother and sister were. I couldn't help but smile a little into Hayes' chest. "Yeah, that was a movement. They're waking up", Nash said and I heard someone step closer to the bed. Suddenly I felt the comfortable blanket getting dragged off of me. What a jerk. "Fuck you, Nash!" I screamed and cuddled closer into Hayes. His body temperature was so high and I was so cold.
"Well, I don't know if it's true, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not Nash". My eyes fluttered open. Cameron stood in front of me. "Cameron!" I yelled and got out of bed quicker than I ever had and probably ever will again. I jumped up, hugged him and wrapped my legs as tightly around his waist as I possibly could. I'm pretty sure I suffocated him at some point, but I didn't really cared. I loved this guy so much. "Hey, baby girl", he said and spun me around. It was first when he sat me down that I had a chance to look at the other people in the room. There were at least ten people in here and I knew a total of two. I felt a little (very) uncomfortable when I realized that I was only in my panties and one of Hayes' t-shirts. "You might wanna go get dressed, angel", Nash smirked at me. I showed him my middle finger, which was met with a few 'oooh's' from the strangers in the room. If I could call them that. I guess I was the stranger after all, when it came to this lot. I quickly grabbed a pair of high waisted shorts and a crop top and ran into the bathroom. That was humiliating. Not exactly the first impression I wanted to make on my two favorite celebs. I sighed as I leaned against the locked bathroom door.
HAYES' P.O.V:
I was still laughing for myself, even though Brooke had left the room three minutes ago. The whole situation had been hilarious, mostly because Brooke had been so awkward. I knew she had the quality of getting a little flushed from time to time, but I'd never imagine anything like that. Everything, from her posture, to her voice, to her eyes were just plain awkward. All the guys and Mahogany went downstairs to let me change alone, but Carter had plopped down on my bed. "Brooke's pretty", he said and I glanced at him. "Yeah she is", I said and grabbed my kaki shorts. What a random way for Carter to start a conversation. I mean, we were good mates and could talk about everything. Why her?
"Could you pass me that shirt over there?" I asked and pointed at the shirt I had been wearing last night. I don't quite remember when I took it off, but I definitely remember Brooke having no contradictions that I did. Carter passed me the shirt and I smiled to myself, remembering how cozy it was last night. We watched movies and talked and at some point both her and I had very few layers of clothes on as we cuddled. The though of that made me go crazy.
"Let's get going". Carter got out of my bed and walked towards the closed door. "I can't wait to spend the day with that cute little girlfriend of yours". I tried to hold back the grin. "She's not my girlfriend, okay? I literally met her yesterday". He blew me off. "Yeah, sure, whatever", he said and laughed at me. Like I was fooling myself. But Brooke and I met yesterday. We obviously weren't dating. I still liked the thought of it, though. That's what made me smile. In the future, maybe, I would be happy to call her that. My girlfriend. For now, I'd have to settle with 'good friend who I may or not be sexually attracted to and emotionally invested in'. Who knew what that could turn into, one day.
