Emily POV
I must be crazy for letting an almost complete stranger in my house. But there's something about him that tells me that it'll be fine and he won't do anything bad.
"So explain whatever you have to from the start," i said looking at his eyes the were dark brown but light brown at the same time they kind of were adorable... "Ok so number uno, you my friend are in a lot of danger." Sounds like the start to a bad movie. "How and why?" Lets see how far he takes this, probably not very far but somewhere. "You have a magic that NOONE else has or can even contain you are extremely powerful, people have been trying to find you forever and put them on your side for their own evil purposes." This was getting more and more believable as I thought back to everything weird that's happened to me, but also less and less believable because it sounds like a fairytale storybook being told to a little kid.
"Michael if any of this is real..." "Yea...?" He looked at me questioningly, "well you said that there's bad people who says that you aren't one of them and you aren't lying to me?" Gosh now I'm acting as if this is real.Michael POV
Emily had a really good point. how does she know she can trust me more than anyone else? How do I show her that im the good guy? "I don't know how to show you honestly." I looked at my feet and moved them both inward. "Look at me," Emily said sternly and I did. She studied me for a while and final said "you're trustable but I still don't believe you."
"What if I can prove to you that everything is true? It hadn't occurred to me I could prove it until now and if she passes out well... I'll say she hallucinated or something like that. "How can you prove that?" She now looked at me worried, does she not want magic to be a real thing? "Don't be worried um as to how just..." I thought about what I was going to do, "look at my hand," I finally stated and put my hand in the air palm side up. And I willed it to catch fire. Emily didn't react she didn't scream or run or freak out at all which was very surprising. Most people freak out when they see that. We both said nothing and she continued to stare at my hand and then she spoke softly "y-you have to be kidding me." whether she was speaking to me or herself Im not sure but that's all she said and I didn't know if I should respond or not. "You can control elements?" She said rather accusingly. "No I can only control fire but there are the other three elements that other people can control." She kept starring at my hand now and then she looked up at me and a second later her eyes grew double the size, wow her eyes do that a lot. I made a mental note to figure out how she feels look at her eyes and shook my head to bring myself back to reality. "That means..." She shook her head and then she turned away from me and spoke again "That's cool that you somehow fixed a little contraption up to make me believe you but people don't control elements it's not possible." I almost had her why is she so keen on this not being real?! "Listen you have to decide if you believe me or not right now because if you don't i have to continue until you do. Do you believe me or not Emily?" "Not now please just go I want to be left alone." "Emily you've tried your whole life not to believe you were different, but was it such a bad thing? And maybe it's a good thing you aren't normal? You'll have to believe me eventually or else everything will end up bad for everyone." She looked at me and sat on her bed she slowly started to lay down. "That's a lot of pressure on a person believe or don't but I'll make you eventually," she smiled. "If you can control fire and im supposed to be like you then who am I element wise?" "I'll answer that when you fully believe who you are don't worry I'll convince you when you aren't getting a crazy sleep deprived brain." She looked at me with a questioning look on her face. I laughed "You don't know this yet but because of what you can do at night when you get tired your brain acts differently, I've figured that out by studying you the last couple days but don't worry it doesn't mean you're crazy or anything." "That's a stupid thing to say." "And why is that?" "You're saying im defective but don't worry about it." "You aren't defective Emily your brain is wired differently which is part of why you can do what you can do, but you aren't going to remember this so there's no point in explaining I'll be going now see you tomorrow Emily." And then I left without another word.
After I left I realized I forgot to mention the fact that she understood me when I spoke a different language but that can be another story to tell he tomorrow.
