Jasper gasped in horror as the wolf before him rose to its full height and looked him in the eyes. He realized that looking at it from a distance and up close, there was a massive difference. He shivered in fear as he watched the wolf size him out. Maybe he really should have stayed home as the old man of the pack had said. Well, now there is no turning back.

He yelped as he was knocked into the air and forced to morph midair.

Well you wanted a monster,' He could feel the other wolf's thoughts, 'now deal with this one.'

If wolves could smile, he could swear this one just grinned.

As alpha of his pack and one of the last of the purebloods, he was a wolf bigger than most. Most others from his pack and others even omegas without packs cowered from him. But still even the mere sight of this one brought fear into his spine. He was used to be on the giving end of pain and fear not on the receiving. Even if he raised his muzzle to the moon, his snout would not reach the shoulders of this one.

He yelped again as the mountain before him moved again, a blur before his eyes. He almost had no recovery time before he was smashed again into the air.

He knew if he got another hit like that, there is no way in hell he was going to survive it.

He put all the pain and anger he had ever felt into his movement and his speed. He dashed against the wolf before him, knocking it off his feet, all four of them into the air. He moved up a few feet to see the effect of his job on the wolf which was obviously struggling to get to his feet.

He shook his head as two voices in his head started combating each other. The wolf which wanted to close in and finish the kill and the human which wanted to just leave right then and allow the man his life.

He could feel his eyes grow hot as rage took over indicating undeniably that the wolf had taken control.

He dashed towards the poor wolf hitting it but he did not run on like before. Instead, he turned mid stride, sank his long canines into the neck of the poor whimpering animal and brought it to the ground with such force that he could hear all the bones in its body crack as they smashed the ground. He waited calmly as he watched the animal die.

A round of applause caught his attention as he looked over his shoulder to see a lady in a red dress looking pleased. 'Now werewolves were always lousy meat bags but you.... You are something more, something......better.

He saw the look of horror in her eyes as he looked at her in indifference, obviously she had expected a reaction. He grimaced as he turned away, took his antelope in his muzzle and started the walk home. Tonight, is going to be the best he had in a long time.

He smiled in the thought of it alone, the thought of grilled meat spiced nicely with onions and pepper with some kept away to make steak the next day. Even his wolf had to give him the respect he deserved. For a man who had just killed someone, he sure felt good.
