Chapter Three.

Melbourne, VIC, Australia

LOTTIE'S POV

Ross and I decided to hit the sack last night before Skip's cousins and James' friend got here. It turns out instead of being 10 minutes, they were 4 MORE HOURS! How can a simple 10 minutes turn into that??

Anyways, this thumping woke me up, along with music. I rolled over to face my alarm clock: 8:00 am. Good lord. Who would be up this early?? I slowly sit up and place my ice sickle feet into my bunny slippers, glancing over at Ross to see that she is still sound asleep.

I walk down the hall, towards the sound and it takes me outside. When I turn the corner I see Luke and this one guy, I think his name is John, doing flips and shit. Whoa. I am blown away! There is no way that I could do all of that!

There's no use in clearing my throat to get their attention so I just sit down on the nearest chair and wait for them to notice me. It doesn't take long for that to happen. John does one of his twisty flip thingy's and lands facing me... He doesn't move.

JOHN'S POV

Luke and I are in the groove, man! This morning I couldn't sleep, so I decided to grab something to eat from the kitchen when I noticed a soft sound coming from outside. I made my way out on the deck when I saw him practicing his back flip.

"Hey man," I walked up to him, "Try jumping off my hands, and when you do, fold backwards as far as possible, and then just like that, you land."

Instead of saying anything back to me, he does as he's told. As soon as he lands he starts to laugh in shock.

"How did you know that?" He walks up to me and gives me the man-to-man handshake.

"Have you forgotten who I am?"

"Oh shoot bro! Sorry, I was just so shocked, I don't even think I could remember my name!"

I started laughing, "No problem, so are you ready to actually do one on your own?"

He jogged over to the boom box and turned the bass up, including the music. Then, he started dancing.

"Are you just going to stand there, or are you going to just and show me up?"

I smiled and joined him.

We were taking turns doing flips and different dance moves, when I showed him Back-flip-Twist. As soon as I landed, I was facing the most beautiful girl that I have ever seen in my entire life. I probably looked like an idiot because all I could do was stand there... Staring.

She started to smile, then she waved. What am I feeling? Just a simple hand movement and the rising of her cheeks is making me starstruck. I smiled and chocked out a "Hi."

"Hi," she laughed.

Luke came up behind me and threw his arm around my shoulders, "I see you've met Lottie."

"I guess so," I said smiling, not taking my eyes off of her.

She stood up and slowly walked over to shake my hand, "Lottie Tomlinson."

I took her hand in mine, "John Pearce."

"Nice to meet you," she smiled.

"You have no idea."

"Oookay then," Luke chimed in, "Is Ross up yet?"

"Uh, no. I don't think anybody else is up."

"Why are you up?" Luke asked her.

"The music."

"Sorry 'bout that babe."

"Its no problem," she looked at me, "it was worth it."

"WHERE'S THE PARTY AT?" Ross screamed, coming out the door, throwing her hands up.

She stopped in her tracks when she saw Lottie and I, "Whoa. Keep it PG!"

We looked down at our hand in sync, noticing that they were still locked together. I looked up and noticed that she was blushing. She quickly pulled her hand away and turned towards Ross, "Didn't you say something about... about... that cereal?"

"Wha-?"

"Come on," and with that, Lottie dragged Ross back into the house.
