There was no warning. That was the thing he remembered most, that there was no warning. It wasn't a stormy day. His mug didn't crack that morning. There were no bad omens like he saw in anime. He was- well, maybe not happy, but as content as any other fifteen-year-old halfway though his freshman year.
He never did learn how his information got out. How one insignificant little detail he'd never thought much about got released to one or two of the kids in his school. Why those kids chose to tell their friends. Why the hell their friends thought it was a good idea.
"You're an omega, right?" The boys voice had dripped with superiority as four or five of his friends began crowding around the desk in the back of the classroom, but it's not like the boy they surrounded cared one way or the other. It didn't even occur to him that this particular detail might be something that was best kept a secret. He simply didn't give a shit. Besides, these kids were cool. They weren't top of the class like him, but they were laid back, rebels, always picking fights but never too dickish as to be unlikeable. Walking that fine line between the people he at least acknowledged were somewhat cool, and the type of people he hated most in the world. He wouldn't have minded being their friend. It's not like he hadn't picked a fight or seven in the past few months. And if they planned to bully him, they were in for one hell of a rude awakening.
"Yeah, what of it?" He spoke nonchalantly as he put his notebooks in his bag. He'd been catching up on the last few notes on the chalkboard in the empty classroom before he planned to head home.
He didn't see the sadistic smirk on the kids face.
"Then you can't blame us." His smile was so triumphant it bordered on madness. "This is all your fault."
