"Even though you ain't mine, it's the fact that I'm yours
It's the fact that my life ain't complete without yours."
Phases~ PRETTYMUCH"Brandon, where the hell have you been?" His girlfriend screamed, his friends all behind him, looking at him expectantly. "We called and you disappeared for two days! Better yet, who the fuck where you with." At that moment, he wished he didn't come back or that Royalty was with him. Well... she was... just in car letting this all air out first.
"I had to clear my head." He told, scratching his neck. "I-I wasn't with anyone." She let a humorless laugh escape, "Is that why Royalty, your lil friend, posted on Snapchat this morning with you in?"
Dammit Royalty- he thought
"Don't go." She whined, his hand, the tattooed one, holding hers, as he walked towards the door. "Don't make it harder than it needs to be." He sighed, walking back to her, although you couldn't see what he was doing, you could hear small kissing noises. He finally walked off and the video ended.
A picture was posted of her neck and collarbone, showing hickeys, a caption reading, "Marking what's his."
"Brandon! Tell me what's going on!" Maggie cried and Brandon felt a small, microscopic part of his heart break. "Please!"
"Okay! Okay. I was with her, I was with her for the two days. Nothing happened, though. I promise." He half lied. "She needed me, and I promised I wouldn't leave her side." He lied. She did need him, and he did make a promise, but he didn't promise exactly that.
"I'm out of here." Maggie sighed, closing the door behind her. Brandon went after her, but only to make sure she didn't see Royalty in the car, wearing one of his shirts.
She didn't, speeding off, him motioning Royalty over. He went back inside, "You really need to be careful. You fucking disappeared and she waltzed her happy ass over here and wouldn't leave." Zion complained. "Did you break up with her?" Royalty came in, making Nick snort a bit, "This shit right here... I'm going to bed." Brandon shook his head, "I don't know why... I couldn't do it..." Royalty felt her stomach churn. "You promised, B." She shoved his shoulder. "How long do you expect me to wait for you?" She yelled. "Can you just... chill for a second!" He yelled back. "Chill? You want me to chill? It's cos of you my ass wobbling like a penguin, and got a fucking animal attack on body. You promised me you were gonna break up with her!" She poked his chest. "But it's cos of you I can't break up with her. I still don't trust yo spiteful ass. I ain't forgot about you fucking no name!" She winced, "You have some nerve when you fucking Miscellaneous and her iPhone built bodied ass."
Faintly you're could hear Edwin muffle his laugh.
"And you fucking that art project Skies is any better?" He retorted.
That time, Zion muffled his laugh.
"I surely do since you ain't gon stop fucking wit Mr.Mime ass."
Austin let out a uncensored laugh.
And for a few seconds, the two glared at each. "The funny thing is, my stupid ass'll still wait for you. Cos ain't nobody gon do you like I do, and vice versa." She sighed, turning away for a moment. "Dammit, Bee. I'm trynna be patient wit you." She turned back to him, shoving his chest. "Cos I do feel heavy for you. And it's like... you not mine, but I'll always be yours... unconditionally." Brandon approaches her, "Please, Royalty. Give me some time to sort myself out. I promise I'll break up with her, just give me time. That's all I ask." He told her as she let out a breath. "You know how much you mean to me. I'm just asking for some time." She slowly nodded, taking a step away, looking at the door for a moment. She wasn't sure if she was gonna leave or take some food and then leave.
"Y'all are a hot ass mess." Edwin reminded. Watching the two stand in front of each other. "Y'all are so dysfunctional, I'm just curious as to why y'all still tryna make it work." Royalty snapped her head to Edwin, "I know yo lonely ass didn't. Not when yo hairline throw up west side." Edwin pursed his lips, walking to the kitchen. Zion stood, "He got a point. I don't get y'all. Better yet, I don't get B... but that's not my business." Royalty decided she was gonna leave. "You know where am I'm at." She muttered to Brandon, him reaching for her wrist quickly, lips attaching to hers. "I'll call you, okay?" She nodded.
Royalty hated being so utterly drawn to Brandon. She couldn't tell you why it was him, and why it'll always be him.
"You didn't kiss Maggie goodbye." Edwin told, Brandon shrugging a bit, "Cos she's mad at me." Edwin rolled his eyes. Brandon pulled out his phone, calling his current girlfriend. "Maggie, baby. Please... don't hang up. Can we please talk?" He walked to his bedroom.
"I know it looks bad, but I swear it's not like that. Royalty got in some guy trouble, got really drunk and needed me to pick her up. She was devastated so I was there for her. She needed me so we put our phone on dnd for two days. I should've told you and the boys something, that was my bad. I'm sorry." Maggie hummed, "I don't think that's all that happened Brandon. Tell me the truth." Brandon sighed, "We ended up kissing a few times, but that was it, honest." Sure B, pretend you weren't deep in her guts early this morning- his thoughts were loud in his head, he struggled to keep them quiet. "That's all you had to say Brandon. I want this work, but don't lie to me. You're gonna lose me every time you lie. I mean it!" Brandon sighed, "I swear." He rolled his eyes, feeling his body reject the thought of a Maggie, but he stood, "Can I come see you?" She laughed a bit, "Yes, you can."
Royalty sighed as she watched Brandon leave. She forgot he drove and she didn't feel like calling an Uber, so she went back inside. "Damn, Royalty. What're you doing here? B just left." Zion asked. "I forgot I came wit him. Can you take me home?" Zion was more than happy to do so. He always thought she was beautiful, but Brandon made it clear he didn't want anyone with her, but him, claiming he wasn't passing her around like a blunt in rotation, so he never shot his shot.
Royalty wasn't interested, she'd do anyone else but them. So as she instructed him the way to her house, he asked, "So why do you mess with a man that's taken and not with one that's not?" She rolled her eyes, "He wasn't taken when we started. We been in it longer than he has wit Magic Mike." Zion snorted a bit as she continued. "Y'all niggas forget about before Mikayla. Y'all forgot that at some point, y'all got tired of seeing my face Cos I was over here everyday, and then y'all wouldn't see him for weeks." Zion decided to shoot his shot. "I ain't forgot. I've always seen you. I ain't ever say anything cos of B, but he fucking up with you. You don't deserve that shit. I wouldn't do it to you." She hit him with a, "Guess we'll never know, not that I was curious in the first place. Make a left and stop. Thanks for the ride."
Remnants from when they met at a concert played in her head, a fond memory that was. She wished she could warn herself about him and how transfixed on him she'd become if she entertained him... even then, she doesn't believe the old her would care, cos the her now doesn't.
