It was a beautiful night in the Kingdom of the Night, the people were rejoicing in the birth or the prince and princess. Little did they know dark things were afoot, a man was scaling the castle. The two newborn royals lay in their cribs, a shadow of the strange man casts over them. The man grabs the two children and escape with them, the children's cries echoing down the halls. Screams of Queen Nightingale's could be heard through the whole kingdom, the guards searched the whole kingdom for the missing royals. The man had disappeared with the children, the night of happiness was quickly stripped to a one of devastation for the Kingdom.
Queen Sunrise older sister of the grieving Queen visits to comfort her younger sister. Sunrise told her that the abductor was found in her kingdom but the children weren't with him. The man had said the children died during the escape, but what she hadn't told Nightingale was that she had the children safe in the Daylight Kingdom. That Sunrise had hired the man to steal her children as a type of revenge. For Nightingale had married the nobleman, Lord Artemis, the man Sunrise had fallen for. Sunrise was married off to Prince Storm of the Daylight Kingdom, who had mysteriously died right after he was crowned King and her the Queen. Sunrise told her sister that she had the man who had stolen her Niece and Nephew executed for his crimes. He was truly executed but just to keep him quiet.
A few days later as Nightingale was walking to her sisters guest quarters, she hears voices coming from the room. She overhears her sister talking to her personal guard she had brought with her talking about the missing royal children, and that the plan was going accordingly. The next day Nightingale calls her sister to come to the royal court that day, during which she calls out her sister and demands the truth from Sunrise. Sunrise insists she doesn't have children, but her guard is holding the blanket from the daughters crib.  She declares war on her sister, and if she wishes the war to not exist that her children be returned to her within the next month or the war will break out. The children are never returned to Queen Nightingale, so thus a war breaks out between the two sisters and their kingdoms.
