"I hate this stupid mission!" You said as you began to build a fire. Your skills were very well known throughout many lands, and an offer from the goddess of light, Lady Palutena, had reached you. Eager to prove to her that you could be a member of her army, even though you were a human, you accepted a mission. However, she wanted to see your 'teamwork skills' and ended up putting you with someone who you just couldn't stand: Dark Pit. And to make things worse, it was snowing at the mission location and blizzards were soon to come.
There were a lot of things about Dark Pit that bugged you, and drove you crazy. He had a bit of a rotten attitude and his snappy, uncalled-for side comments. But, there may have been a few things that weren't so annoying... His red eye color and the teal shine to his black wings were alluring, along with the way he'd get flustered when someone pointed out that he'd done something wrong (with evidence of doing so, of course).
"I don't like it either," Dark Pit replied as he carried in more firewood. The two of you had found a cave that would have to make do as a shelter until the upcoming blizzards passed. "I don't like working with kids." And there he goes again, making him feel superior as always. He tossed the branches into a pile that the two of you had been putting together.
"And I don't like working with jerks..." You mumbled, sending him a glare behind his back. Then, a sharp thorn on a branch cut your arm, causing you to drop everything in your hands as you bit your lip to keep yourself from crying. Exhaling a shaky breathe through your nose, you began to take a closer look at the cut. It was no cut to laugh at, as it covered almost the entire lower half of your arm.
Noticing your sudden stop, Dark Pit turned his head in your direction. "You okay?" He asked, not sounding too concerned. You didn't bother to reply, and went back to work.
The two of you managed to get the fire going just as the blizzard had begun to take off. Unfortunately, the blizzard had cut off all communication with Lady Palutena, and Pit. Letting out a sigh of relief that the fire was finally started, you stepped back from the fire to take a seat on a ledge when you were stopped. Dark Pit had grabbed onto your upper arm on the side that had the cut. "When did you get this?" He asked.
"It shouldn't concern you," You answered, pulling away from him. But, Dark Pit only grabbed hold of you once more.
"Well, it does. Where did you get it?" He asked again, a more serious tone in his voice. It was obvious that he wasn't going to back off of this subject.
"I got it while making the fire," You sighed, hoping that he would finally let go of you. All you really wanted at this point was sometime to sit down and think to yourself about personal matters. But, of course, that wasn't going to happen.
Dark Pit gently ran his fingers over the gash on your arm, causing you to jerk away from him. "That hurt!" You snapped, holding your arm close to you and away from him.
"Then, it's probably already infected," He said as he rolled his eyes, "If we don't take care of it now, it's going to become a big problem." He stepped away from you and moved over to his bag. He pulled out a smaller pouch that contained what could be described as a 'mini-med-kit': bandage wrap, gauze, a small cloth as some sort of liquid in a bottle.
"What is that?" You asked, wanting to make sure that he wasn't trying to kill you off. You cursed yourself in your mind for not bringing your own medical supplies on this mission. You normally never needed them... But, now this was just lesson learned for next time.
"It's going to keep that wound of yours from getting worse and getting in the way." He said, motioning for you to come over to him. After hesitant steps towards him, he grabbed you and pulled you down onto the ground with him. He poured a small amount of the liquid onto the cloth before wiping it onto your cut.
