Chapter 18 Let Me Hold Your Hand

Yuri's POV

We finally arrived at the entrance of the Ferris Wheel. Taeyeon spoke and said, "All right since this is the last ride for tonight I think we should go by couples per cart". Sooyoung and Yoona spoke up as well, "We all agree to that idea".  While everyone else just nodded as a sign of agreeing to it.

 The pairing became Taeyeon and Tiffany, Sooyoung and Sunny, Yoona and Seohyun, Hyoyeon and Nicole, and finally me and Sica. With that everyone went to their separate carts either by couple or soon to be couple. Before Hyoyeon and Taeng got into their cart they looked at me and slightly nodded as a sign that they'll be starting the plan at exactly 12 am. It's already 11:30pm, oh lord I'm nervous. I slightly nodded as okay and we proceeded into our carts.

Jessica's POV

I noticed that ever since we entered the cart Yul's hand keeps on fidgeting and his eyes keeps on averting away from mine . Is he okay ? Could it be that something happened earlier? I thought to myself while silently looking at him. It's been 25 minutes already since we got here. I wonder what's bothering him?

"Yul are you okay? You look uncomfortable" I said worriedly while  caressing his hand. He flinched a bit and let out a nervous sigh. 

"It's nothing Sica. I'm fine nothing's wrong" He said while gently smiling at me

Well that pissed me off a bit. "You're not fine Yul. You kept on fidgeting eversince we got inside the cart. Is it because of me? Don't you want to be with me?" I coldly said to him. I can't help but feel sad because of what he was doing and what he said. Could it be that Yul is no longer interested in me?

He looks really taken back and hurriedly said, "What?! Of course not Sica, I want to be with you okay? I'm just worried about some things that's all" 

"Then why won't you tell me? I'm worried about you Yul" I said to him

He inhales deeply and looked into my eyes. Gosh it looks so pretty especially under the moonlight. 

"W-what? W-why are you staring at me like that?" I said while stuttering, I've never seen Yul this serious. My heart is literally beating so fast right now. Oh God just how hard have I fallen for you Kwon Yuri

"Sica do you trust me?" He asked me while looking into my eyes and clasping both of my hands into his. 

I'm literally shaking inside, Yul stop making me feel like this. My heart can't take it. I hope that I'm not blushing right now because that would be super embarrassing.

"Of course I trust you Yul. Why wouldn't I?" I said to him in a calm and smooth way, trying to hide my blushing self.

He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply again. Then he hung is head down while holding my hand to his forehead. It was already 11:59pm, what is Yul doing? Could it be that he really is hiding something from me?

"Sica I need to tell you something important" He asked with all of seriousness in his voice but not daring to look up at me

"What is it Yul? and why are you not looking at m-" I asked him when suddenly I heard a loud explosion. I yelped a bit because the sound surprised me. 

"What was that? What in the world-" I got cut off again when I realized the loud explosion was actually fireworks. But that wasn't what surprised me the most. What surprised me was the sentence that were forming under the night sky.

A tear fell from my eyes. The sentence that formed was. "Jessica Jung 143". Why was my name formed at the sky? And the numbers 143 doesn't that mean-

My thoughts were interrupted when Yul suddenly spoke. "Jessica Jung I'm In love with you." Yul said silently without any hesitation but he wasn't looking at me. Why? Is he afraid or something?

"Yul look at me" I said to him calmly 

He shooked his head as a sign of no. "Yul why won't you look at me? " I asked him

"I'm scared Sica" He said silently

"Why are you scared? There's nothing to be afraid of" I said to him

"Because I can't bear the thought of you rejecting me and ending whatever relationship we have" He said. I was stunned. Kwon Yuri is afraid of losing me?. Hah this dummy is seriously

I freed my hands from his and cupped his face so that he's looking at me directly. I saw his eyes were filled with anxiety and fear. I gently smiled at him and said, "You dummy you haven't even heard my answer yet" I chuckled lightly

"Hey it's not a laughing matter. Sica I don't want to lose you. Ever" He said to me and this time I saw his eyes are filled with determination and love.

"I too" I said to him

He looked surprised when he heard what I said. "You what?" He asked me as if not believing what I just said. This man is seriously. 

"Yul don't make a girl repeat it. I'll only say this once, Kwon Yuri I'm in love with you too" I said to him firmly and I noticed that he was smiling already. My face started heating up and I looked away.

"So does that mean we're together now?" He asked his eyes filled with excitement and anticipation

"What do you think?" I asked him with a deadpan look

I was surprised when he suddenly held me tightly. OH GOD KWON YURI YOU'LL GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK. 

"Sica I promise you won't regret this" He said to me while smiling. Then he cupped my face and kissed me. I of course kissed him back. Kwon Yuri is finally my boyfriend <3

He went back to his seat and took a blue box from his pocket and handed it to me.

"What is this Yul?" I asked him curiously and he just smiled and said "Open it"

Curious I opened the box and I found a beautiful moon sapphire necklace

"Aw Yul this is so pretty" I said to him with excitement then he said "It's for you Sica, I bought it for today's confession"

"You didn't have to but thank you Yul. Can you put it for me?" I said to him and he said, "Sure"

He placed the necklace onto my neck and he said, "It suits you well Sica"

I was about to say thank you again when suddenly realize the ride has ended. The cart has opened then Yul stood up and held his hand out

"Let's go Sica" He said while smiling

I pouted and said, "Yul I'm really thankful for the gift but I'm sad that I haven't given you anything yet"

He lightly chuckled and took my hand and kissed it. "Just let me hold your hand for all eternity and I'll be satisfied with that" 

With that we left the cart and waited for our friends to share the news of what just happened.
