the docks

Today was friday and since vaccuo students are coming there were no classes and weiss wanted everyone to come to the docks so when everyone woke up and got ready they went to the bullhead launch pads and waited for the bullhead from vale to arrive when it does everyone got on and they talked about small stuff like classes and work and then when they arrived weiss lead everyone throught the streets that are hanging up a sign that had 'Welcome to Vale' on it gran asked "who's coming to vale" yang answered "students from vaccuo are coming today for the vytal festival" gran then was confused "vytal festival?" Weiss then answered in a cheerful tone "yes the vytal festival a well planned event that celebrates all the world's cultures with festivities and a tournament" gran then looked confused "a tournament whats that?"
everyone stopped and looked at gran "didn't you have tournaments in you "village" yang asked "no we didn't do this things unless you count the scouts departing celebration then no" gran answered "well this week you get to participate in the tournament and fight and eat so much good food" ruby said excited then they walked past a store with police tape and shattered glass when they approached the scene the over heard the detectives conversation "this is the third dust shop this week they left the lien" said detective 1 " you uh think uh the white fang" detective 2 said " i don't think we get paid enough" nuber 1 said while walking away weiss huffed "the white fang a bunch of rescalian faunas" blake became angry and stated to confront weiss and they began to argue while gran,ruby and yang were standing there listening to the argument but gran asked one question which froze everyone "what's the white fang?" Blake and weiss tried to get their word in but gran put up his hand up "one at a time please blake your first" then she answered "the white fang was first a peaceful protest group of fanus until the leader stepped down and they turned violent because the new leader turned it violent but they are good at heart their just misguided" so gran nodded and pointed at weiss " the white fang are a bunch of terrorists that steal from my father and are a bunch of killers that threatened the shnee dust company" she explained gran just nodded "well i guess the white fang are misleaded but I don't condone the way they are fighting for equality but they shouldn't be treated like that but if you have different views then don't let them get in the way of your friendship because when I was a cadet they taught us to work as a team no matter who you are we did what we did and it worked we became a family of friends but we have are flaws but now you can't let them get in your way now stop now or your freindship will suffer" gran lectured them which them listened intently because he may have given a story of his life but never really went into detail about his life thats until they heard a shout " Hey stop that no good stowaway" then a blonde money fanus jumped out off the ship and swung to a lamppost and said "hey a no good stowaway would've been caught I'm a good stowaway" and started eating a banana and when one of the detectives from before stood at the bottom of the lamppost the blonde was on and threw the used banana slip away and landed on the detectives face and he jumped and landes behind the detective and ran away and as he went by team ruby if felt like time slowed down to a crawl when he looked at blake he winked she notice and her bow twitched and gran started to run after him as he was summoning his gear he saw the blonde guy turn the corner so gran was about to charge his anchor but then he crashed into someone and landed with somthing on top of him then gran heard team rwby stop and see him when he opened his eyes he saw a girls face inches away from his she then said "salutations" gran then looked at the girl and said "hi can you get up please this is very..." gran then looked at team rwby for help but ruby and yang were laughing at him and weiss with her hand covering her face but you knew she was trying not to laugh but blake looked at the direction the fanus went but stayed behind for him but the girl finally got up and so did gran

After they got up the girl said "salutations my name is penny" ruby said "hi penny my name is ruby and this is my team she pointed out all of them and said their names this is yang,blake,weiss and finally gran" everyone said thier hellos gran the apologized to penny for ramming in to her but she said that it's ok then gran asked a question "so penny what brings you to vale?" then she reponded "im here for the tournament" weiss then stepped into the conversation "wait your here for the competition" penny then said im a cheerful tone "I'm combat ready" she then pulled out a small sword with very thin line attached to the hilt only gran noticed that and filed that for later "well we better get back it's getting late" yang said ending the awkward silence "well see ya later freind ruby said as they were walking they forgot about the fanus and talked about how gran had a 'girlfriend' mostly yang teased him about this until penny reappeared in front of the group and walked towards rudy "what did you call me?" ruby then began to freak out on what she might have said then she help with the confusion "you called me a freind right?" then ruby was trying to find help on the answer and everyone said no except gran "yeessss" penny then gave ruby a hug and then listed off all the the things they could do and other stuff but then after awhile she let ruby go and then said their goodbyes and everyone was ready for bed but blake had other plans
