Happier Chapter 1

It had been a month.... a really long month since John and Jaren had left town. It was a strange feeling... being so open... being so free, but that's how John was feeling. His whole life he grew up in the oppressive environment and now that he had the freedom he just didn't know what to do with himself. It made John wondered how everyone is doing since he has left. He was always tempted to use his burner phone to call his friends and just talk to them. Not a day has went by where Jaren has convinced him that they really didn't need him to bother them.

Speaking of Jaren, John's eyes wandered towards the sleeping person that was laying next to him. It was strange how life had worked in his favor. Of course there's still a part of him who wants to murder him in his sleep but most of him, at least he thinks, actually loves the guy. John chuckled softly thinking about the look of shock on Jaren's face when John was soon growing taller then him. Of course it doesn't really stop Jaren from doing what he wanted but there were some nights where John took the lead in... things.

John blushed looking away from Jaren to stare at the wall. There were still so many things he didn't know about Jaren. Like why he had ran away in the first place or how he managed to even convince his own friends to become criminals. He wanted to know more about his relationship with Fitz and how they ended up breaking up if Jaren really did love the tall man. John didn't really know how to bring it up. His tongue kept'd getting tongue tied which Jaren would kiss him to make him shut up.

Jaren blinked a bit as he felt the bed shift every once in a while. His mind was still riddled with sleep as he tried to get his bearings. He shifted a bit turning himself to look at John. He blinked sleepily watching the agitated look on John's face. Jaren knew what was coming and he hoped John wouldn't ask to much... but then again this is John and he would probably like to know the whole story.

"Go to sleep," Jaren grumbled making John look towards him.

"I can't," John said pouting.

"Mmmmmmmmm why not," Jaren said.

"I have too many things in my mind and only you can answer them," John said crossing his arms.

Jaren grumbled for a second before sighing. He gently pushed himself into a sitting position and stared at John lazily. John tapped his fingers against his arms a bit impatient about Jaren taking his time.

"What do you want to know," Jaren said.

"Everything... well more specifically your past relationships," John asked.

"You want to know about my past relationships," Jaren said.

"Yes and how you managed to convince my friends to become thieves... I really want to know who you are and what you've been through," John said his eyes widening with curiosity.

"You really want to know don't you," Jaren said making John nod.

"Alright alright I'll tell you," Jaren said.

"Yaaaaay," John said.

"Tomorrow it's late now and I want sleep," Jaren said tucking himself in.

"Waaa noooo," John said as he started to shake him.

Jaren did the only logical thing in his exhausted mind and that was to pull John to his chest and hold him there. John blinked a couple of time before giving in to a well needed sleep. Jaren smiles softly kissing John's forehead and soon finding himself asleep afterwords.
