Not a girl

This is it.. This is the day I tell the school I'm trans.. My new binder had already arrived and I had gotten new clothes to replace all the skirts and other things and since my fathers never knew if they were going to get a daughter, my old female clothes were put in separate boxes into a spare room. My hair was cut into a style I wanted and I was wearing clothes fit for a male like myself. We had filmed a video of me as my female self and I was going to step on to the stage from my hiding place and show myself to them.

"Hello everyone, we're going to show you a video. Please refrain from saying anything disrespectful to the student in this video to prevent certain people coming after you," Mrs Morita said and the video started playing.

"Hello, everyone! What I'm going to say may sound weird do you, but.. Have you ever felt as if you were in the wrong body?" Penny asked. "Well, I've felt that for most of my short life. It's not as if my body seems to be deformed in some way, but it's like my body isn't mine.. Like I was born into the wrong body..." She said as a picture of a younger Penny appeared, dressed in her uncle's clothing, smiling at the camera. 

"Every day, my mind screams at me, telling me that I'm not a girl. Asking whose body this is, wanting to rip off my chest. But, I never do so, perhaps it is because I'm afraid on how other people react," She trailed off, looking slightly away from the camera with a blush on her cheeks. 

"My aunt was one of the only people to ever know of me being trans, but she died a few months ago and so I was adopted by two people I've come to know as my fathers who I am not going to name as it is not safe for people to know who they are. The school staff and two friends of mine know and have been sworn to secrecy," Penny said. "I hope you all understand that I am just like the person you've grown to know over the years..." Penny trailed off.

I stepped out to the front of the school. "... As I stand in front of you today, now named Peter Parker," I said, flashing them a small smile. I had on a white dress shirt with my red shirt under it, under those a nude coloured full length binder, black jeans and red converse. Most of the people stood up and clapped, the rest simply smiled or looked mad. I caught Ned grinning at me, "I'm so proud of you, Peter!" He yelled. MJ smiled, "You're awesome, nerd!" She exclaimed.
