A Different Virus

Chapter 4: Other Half

 I woke up in the morning. Jordan wasn't there. I looked over and Chandler was still sleeping. I got off the couch and went to check on Patrick and Gabe. Still sleeping. I walked into the kitchen and Jordan was fixing himself a sandwich. 

Jordan: "Oh hey!"

Me: "..Hey." I rubbed my eyes.

Jordan: "You want one?" He points to a sandwich.

Me: "Nah. I'm fine." 

Jordan: "Uhm. No you're not. I'm going to make you a sandwich anyways, you can't stop me."

Me: "Fine. I'm gonna go check on the others."

Jordan: "Okay!"

I smile and leave. I walk upstairs and I hear a kid laughing in the room where me and Chandler were going to sleep last night.. I looked in there, and nothing. So I continue to check on the others. I walk into Aliyahs room and they're asleep too, so I let them be. I walk by the room and there's the kid.. I see him clearly.. he runs right past me and I trip. He stands there and looks at me smiling. 

Me: "What do you want?!" I yell a little bit.

Jordan comes up the stairs and he sees me. 

Jordan: "Who are you talking to?" He helps me up.

Me: "Are you sure your brother isn't..-"

Jordan: ".. isn't what?"

Me: "Isn't here?.." 

He looks at me like I'm crazy. I knew he wouldn't believe me..

Me: "I know. I know you think I'm crazy but, I think he's asking for help.. the reason why I came and slept in the living room with Chan was because I seen him.. He was in the room with me and Chandler.. He was whispering to me. He wanted me to help him. I got scared and turned the light on but..  he was gone.." 

Jordan just stands there..

Me: "I don't know if you can see him but, I can.. and I'm SCARED for him. We gotta go look for him.." 

Jordan just stays silent. He breaks the silence after thinking about it for a minute.

Jordan: "Maybe.. maybe you should go look for him." 

Me: "WHAT?! I don't even know him! And I don't know where he got lost at. I don't even know this town. I-" 

Jordan: "LISTEN! ..I slept in that room plenty of times before and after he went missing.. He would've talked to me or given me a sign if he wanted to be found.. If he's giving you a sign to go help him, then he wants YOU to help him." 

Me: "That's crazy.." 

Jordan: "It's not if he's asking you to help him. Ericka please.. I need him back.. ):" 

I don't know what to do.. I don't want to go out there alone, but Jordan needs his brother, and if it was Chandler, I would hope someone would help me find him. So I agree..

Me: "Fine.. I'll go look for him." 

Jordan: "I have some walkie-talkies downstairs in the closet, and I have a small map of the town. I'll show you where the house is and where Jake got lost."

Me: "His name is Jake?'

Jordan: "Yeah. I'll go get the stuff and get it ready."

Me: "Okay.."

Jordan walks downstairs and I go tell Aliyah..

Me: "Hey Aliyah. Good morning Meegus!"

Aliyah: "Hey Ericka!"
