A Different Virus

Chapter 2: Surprise!

Aliyah: "Hey."

Me: "OH MY GOD ITS YOU!"

Aliyah: "Are you gonna inject me with that syringe?" she points to it on the floor

Me: "Haha. It's empty" I say as I shrug my shoulders

Aliyah: "It doesn't matter, but whatever is happening, its bad. I got Meegus with me"

I see Meegus come behind Aliyah and I look at Chandler.

Me: " Hi Meegus! I got Chandler with me so you're not alone Aliyah.."

Aliyah: "Aww.. Well I have to look for my brother. You tagging along?"

Aliyah lost her brother too, so I looked at this as a good opportunity to look for my brother Patrick also.

Me: "Yeah! I actually got to look for my brother too. Our brothers are the same age so I'm guessing they gotta be in the same room."

Aliyah: "Smart idea."

Me: "Thanks. So much for 'killer on the loose' huh? Haha."

Aliyah: "How was I supposed to know that there was a Zombie Apocalypse?"

Me: "I was just teasing you. Haha, okay lets go now."

I didn't expect the intruder to be my best friend.. That was a surprise. A good one. So the problem was that the scientists and the security guard were still out there.. I warned Aliyah about them..

Me: " WAIT. What about the people outside the door? What are we going to do?"

Aliyah: "Uhm.. I don't know, watch them?"

I looked at her like she was serious.

Aliyah: "Haha. I'm joking. We're gonna kill them of course."

Me: "You take one out, and I'll take the other?"

Aliyah: "Let's do this."

So we figured out that problem, but the next problem was weapons. What are we gonna use? I have a syringe but, that isn't gonna do much..

Aliyah: "You got a weapon?"

Me: "I don't actually."

Then she gave me the same screwdriver I used to kill the other scientists.

Me: "I remember this screwdriver.. I left it in the neck of a scientist down at Unit A.."

Aliyah: "Damn, you did that?"

Me: "Sure did."

So after she gave me my screwdriver back, we opened the door and started to do our thing. Aliyah got trapped, I had to kill that scientist myself. I went crazy on that security guard.. I hated the way he grabbed me at the helicopter and how he separated families.

Aliyah: "Whew. Thanks for the backup."

Me: "Haha, it's nothing."

Aliyah: "When did you become so bad-ass?'"

Me: "HAHA. Very funny." I look at her sternly.

Aliyah: "I'm just messing with you. But now we gotta go look for our brothers"

So we searched and searched but still couldn't find them. And Chandler was getting tired and hungry.. We walked until we came across a sign that said "Unit C", and thank GOD we got into the kitchen. I grabbed my empty black backpack and I started to fill it with water bottles, sandwiches, apples, energy bars, etc. Anything we could find useful, we put in our bag. Aliyah had a purple backpack filled with stuff too, so I felt like we could make it until we find some shelter or more people. I noticed a blue, cotton soft blanket and I gave it to Chandler. The bag wasn't heavy. So I put the bag on my back, grabbed Chandler and headed out the door with Aliyah to go find our brothers.
