Chapter five! I wanted to apologize

(Carla's POV)

I couldn't stop going over all the possibilities in my head I wouldn't know what to do with a baby or how to give it a proper life and there's no way I'm telling Samuel because I know how he would react, When he found out Marina was pregnant he was willing to raise the baby with her even though it wasn't his.

               (Samuel's POV)

"Now that you're girlfriend is gone maybe you can talk to me." Nano says to me.

I just shrug my shoulders and sigh loudly.

"Oh come on Sami."

"Okay Nano I get it you feel bad about what happened after Marina died but that doesn't mean you just get to go back as if everything's normal when clearly it isn't." I say raising my voice.

"Look can we just talk about something else. Like... ooh, how about that girlfriend of yours, how's she doing?" He asks me genuinely curious and unaware of the situation.

"We were never together...it was just sex." I say nonchalantly.

"Bullshit." He says.

"I saw the way you looked at her and even if she doesn't feel the same way I know you do."

I just looked at him because I didn't know what to say, I didn't have the effort to convince him otherwise. After a lot of silence I just walked out of the house.

              (Carla's POV) 

I heard a knock on the door and immediately ran to answer because I knew it would be Lu with the pregnancy test. I quickly opened it and was about to open my mouth to greet her when I realized that it was Samuel.

"Hey." He says after minutes of silence.

"Look I wanted to apologize for what happened the last time I saw you, I was just really not myself."

"You don't have to apologize." I say back to him.

"Anyway I just thought you'd want to know that I'm okay with you and Polo, actually I think Rebeka and I are a thing now."

As soon as he says that I feel like someone stuck a knife in my stomach and twisted it, I didn't know how to respond and I definitely wasn't going to tell him that I could be pregnant.

"That's good, I'm happy for you." I manage to get out without chocking on my words.

Before he could respond the door flew open and Lu yelled,

"Where you at!"

When she realized Samuel was here she said,

"Oh why is this little hobo here."

"He was just leaving." I say before nodding to him to leave.

"Yeah I was, ummm... I guess I'll see you guys at school." He says before leaving.

"Wooh, that was a close one." Lu says before handing me the bag with the pregnancy test in it.

I grab the bag from her and quickly walk to the bathroom.

"Slow down or the baby is going to fall out of you." Lu yells at me.

"I'm not pregnant." I yell back at her.

"Then why'd you want the test." She asks.

"I just want to be sure." I say before closing time bathroom door.

When I get in the bathroom I immediately open the test and sit down on the toilet I pee on the stick and then set the timer. Jesus Christ I didn't know two minutes could go by so slow. I washed my hands and flushed the toilet and as soon as the timer went off I called Lu into the bathroom.

"Lu!"

"Coming girly!" She yells back.

I hear her heels get closer as she get to the bathroom, I close my eyes and grab the test. I flip it around so that we can't see it.

"I don't think I want to do this." I tell her.

"I mean I guess we could wait nine months and see if you get any fatter." She says sarcastically.

"Okay I'm serious, Carla no matter what I'll always be your friend and I'll always be by your side no matter what these assholes think. I love you and nothing is going to change that, you're my bestfriend." She says tearing up a little.

I didn't even realize it but I was crying too.

"Okay I think we should look now." She finally replies.

I finally flipped over the pregnancy test and looked at it.

(Samuel's POV)

When Carla told me that she was happy for me and Rebeka I felt like someone had punched me in the gut, but since she said that she was happy with Polo so I thought it'd be best to move on. Just as I'm about the ring the doorbell to Rebeka's house the door opens and her mom walks out.

"Hey Samuel." She says to me.

"Hey Paula." I say back to her.

"Rebeka's inside if you're looking for her."

"Thanks I'll see you later."

"Bye kiddo." She says before waking to her car.

"Hey babe." I say walking into the living room.

"Hey, I thought you weren't coming."

"I told you I'd try." I say before leaning over to kiss her.

"What are we." She says.

It catches me off guard at first and I don't know what to say to her, that's when I realize that I don't really even know what we are.
