chapter one

Patton

it has been a little over a year since logan, roman, Thomas, Virgil, and I moved into this house, everything became a little better, Virgil started to open up to us, but last week he got a phone call, he looked scared when he went outside. it was quite surprising when he asked if someone else could come live with us, I mean I don't mind it at all but none of us saw that coming.

the doorbell rang bringing me out of my thoughts 'I'll get it' I said getting up and walking to the front door. once I opened it I was greeted by an unfamiliar face 'it's nice to meet you I'm morgan' the girls said with a smile 'i'm Patton, the pleasure is mine' I said when we go to the living room the others were in an argument 'we never asked for your opinion' roman said to logan 'if you speak of the devil' Virgil muttered looking at her, with the slightest smile on his face 'ah you must be morgan, it's nice to meet you I'm Logan, and these are roman and Virgil, but I think you know him already' logan said 'we've never actually met before, we're online friends but it's nice to meet you all' she said. 'i'll show you around' Virgil said getting up, which was quite shocking, he never did things like this for anyone else than roman, sure he would help out around the house and such, but even in school last year he never helped other people he knew. He started to lead her away when roman began to panic 'he never...' he was breathing heavily 'hey deep breaths' I said Virgil looked back and saw that roman was almost having a panic attack 'i'll lead you around' Thomas said leading morgan off into the house, we've known for him a lil over 2 years now, and he only recently started to be less cautious around us and was finally opening up to us after his parents died he charged. he closed himself off from anyone, even more after his parents died. it took some time for roman to calm down but he eventually did, soon after Thomas came down, and roman asked him to go to the gym together Probably to work it out on his own further.

after the two of them left, Virgil went to his room, logan went back to reading and I started to preparing dinner, I was making beef noodles, and the noodles alone from scratch, it's maybe not the most original thing to make to welcome out new roommate but it would work perfectly.

'oh, we're out of soy sauce and green onions' I mutter to myself, 'we also need some seaweed and there are only a couple of eggs left' I said 'he logan, do you want to go to the store with me, we need some supplies for dinner' I asked him 'sure I'll drive' he said, we got in the car and left for the store. it was a good 15-minute drive since we lived more on the outskirts of town, but non of us seemed to mind the fact. once we arraved at the general store we bought the eggs, soy sauce, green onions, and seaweed, but also some more things like bread,  charcuterie, drinks like water and different sodas, and laundry products 'do you think we have everything? I have everything I need to prepare dinner' I asked logan 'i can assure you Patton we have everything we need for the coming week' he said.

once we got home I started cutting the dough for the noodles, letting it rest for a while. I cut the vegetables, and the beef to the right size, all this took over 2 hours. I put on the water to cook the noodles and started to prepare the rest of the side dishes. after all that was done, I finished everything up and set the table. 

Roman and Thomas had returned from the gym half an hour or so back, and both Virgil and morgan were up in their rooms 'logan dinner's ready' I said walking into the living room 'oh what are we eating Patton?' Thomas asked 'beef ramen' I said. he nodded and he went into the dining room together with roman and logan. after that, I went upstairs and knocked on Virgil's room but I got no answer, so I went to the room next door 'Morgan, Virgil are you in here?' I asked 'common in Patton' she called back.

the room was a mess, and both of them were covered in paint, the room was littered with paint cans there were either unopened or opened and almost empty. I saw morgan hanging up a picture above her bed 'what did you two do?' I exclaimed 'nothing much, just painted a wall' Virgil said 'i hope you didn't mess anything up' i said 'no, we just pained this' morgan stepped aside gesturing to the wall behind her and Virgil. I gasped, it was so beautiful, I just ran out of the room. the others needed to see this too 'guys you need to see this' i said urging them to follow me upstairs.

once they all followed me upstairs I showed them what morgan and Virgil did 'there you are Virgil' roman said then he looked behind him and gasped like the others, except for logan, but he was impressed 'did you make this all by yourself?' Thomas asked 'i had help' morgan told him gesturing to Virgil. roman walked closer to it 'are these the same place?' he asked 'yes it is roman' she said on the picture that was hanging next to it were 8 hooded figures, the hood just fell over their eyes so they weren't recognizable 'who are they?' Thomas asked 'just I and some friends' Mogan said looking away 'why did you actually come in the first place Patton?' morgan asked changing the subject 'oh I came to tell you two dinner is ready' i said 'alright well change and be down in 5' morgan said. I heard her muttering something to Virgil before I closed to door and went downstairs.
