Shopping at Diagon ally

Steve was woken up y his mother shouting. he jumped up and dressed, and ran down stairs to see what the problem was. He saw his mother talking to a weird looking couple wearing the craziest clothes. then he noticed Bucky standing next to the couple - Bucky's parents. He approached his mother, who turned around to talk to him.

"Bucky and his parents have offered to take you to...." she glanced back to the Barnes' and Mrs banes finished her sentence for her,

" Diagon Ally, dear. It is a wonderful place, you will love it!"

Steve looked unsure but was exited never the less. he smiled at the happy family at his door, but his mothers sad look up at him. She didn't want him to b special, she just wanted him to be Steven rogers, her son was always there to help her when she needed it.

"can I go mum? can I ? can I?" Steve was starting up at his mother hoping she would say yes. She looked down at her son, knowing that he was different and that she would need to let go one day. He was going to go to boarding school in a few weeks time, if she couldn't let him go to 'diagon ally'? with his friend then how was she going to let him leave her for months on end.

she nodded and he grabbed his coat and ran out to join Bucky and his parents.

Steve and Bucky ran in front of Mr and Mrs Barnes as they looked in all of the shop windows. It was amazing in Steve's eyes and it was equally as spectalular to Bucky too, even if he had seen it before. The different people walking down the cobblestone shopping street. There were owls flying around and people holding heavy bags full of things unknown to Steve and shuffling past everyone else. the street was crowded and he still dint know what they needed.

Luckily Bucky's parents did. they pulled them into a few shops. Where they bought Caudrens, cloaks, their uniforms, their books, and then they went into olivanders, to get their wands.

the bell rang and an old looking man shuffled into view from around the corner. the whole shop was full of small boxes covering the walls of the shop, there were more around the corner from where the man had just come from.

"hello there little wizards how can I help you?"

"we need two wands please, olivander."

"oh of course. First years?"

"yes, they are starting in September. "

Olivander turned and looked at the boys, "a Barnes'" he whispered to himself. he turned nd walked around looking at the boxes on the walls. He picked out a dusty box and blew on it, he removed the lid and inspected it. He handed the box to bucky who looke at it in astonishment.

"have a wave young sir, " Bucky done as he was told and it lit up and there was a gold swirl of light circling him. " good, good..... well that is a 12inch pine wood made from a hair of a unicorn."

"thank you." Bucky said. Olivander turned his attention to Steve.

"ah, a muggle born, Rogers, powerful, leader, strong. Lets see...." he mumbled under is breath and picked out a box on the far right of the room.

He handed the box to Steve who waved it, and the lamp on the counter exploded.

"i'm sorry, I didn't.."

"no problem young sir. the wand chooses the wizard, not your fault. " he took the box an shuffled around looking at the other ones. He spotted a dark blue box next to the door, it had red and white stripes on the side and he opened it up, handing It to Steve.

This time he pointed the and away from anything that could explode, and waved it. just like Bucky, there was a gold swirl of light circling him while the wand lit up. It felt amazing to be chosen by this wand, it looked amazing.

"brilliant! phoenix feather, oak wood. good, good. strong wand, good." he mumbled and took both ands behind the counter, the Barnes' payed for them and took them out. It was a great day, and they couldn't wait to start in September.
