My bedroom window was slightly open, letting the fresh autumn breeze flow in. I took a deep breath, and rubbed my eyes before checking the time on my phone. 8:53am it read. It was the weekend, so there was no rush to get up and ready. I snuggled up in my thick duvet covers and looked at my phone.
There was a message from Stella.
"Morning sleepy head. Wake upppp!!! I just got a text from Sean, AKA THE HOTTEST GUY IN OUR GRADE! *fangirls* and he told me that he's having a party over at his house tonight from 7pm to anytime. So....let's go okay! I called Jeremy and he's totally up for it! U better come k? Cya @ 7 !!"
Ugh god no. I swear, if Stella goes to that party, she won't be able to take her eyes of Sean. I better go just to keep an eye on her. Luckily Jeremy will be going, so I won't look like a total loner.
I rubbed my eyes and yawned before kicking the heavy duvet off. I stretched my arms, making a funny cracking noise which I then laughed to. I swung my legs off the side of my bed and put on my fluffy purple slippers that I got for Christmas two years ago.
I quickly put my hair up in a messy bun, not caring how it looked. Slung on my grey jumper and raced down the stairs to make breakfast.
I was hungry that morning so I decided to make myself pancakes.
No one was at home because dad worked half days on the weekend, mum was at her child care centre until 5pm and Delia, my younger sister was at the zoo for a school trip.
I did a half split while mixing the ingredients in, just to work on my flexibility.
I poured the mixture into the pan, trying my best to make it look as circular as possible.
Once that was done, I sat down in front of the TV with a plate full of delicious fluffy pancakes coated with maple syrup.
"Alex From Target is trending no.1 on twitter and thousands of people are lining up outside target just to get a glimpse of him" the news announced. I rolled my eyes. I didn't understand how an average guy can get famous just by a picture some random girl took. This society is fucked up, I swear. I switched the TV off.
A few hours had passed and I started to get really bored, so I decided to call Stella and Jeremy to see what they were up to.
"Hey Stel, what are you up to right now?"
"Nothing much. Just at home chilling I guess. Why?"
"Oh..same here. Nah, I'm just really bored and was wondering if you're free, wanna come over?"
"Sure thing. Will be there in 10mins. Is Jeremy coming over?"
"I haven't called him yet."
"Okay, I'll call him, and we'll come over together"
"Okay great, see ya in 10."
"Alright."
The doorbell rang.
Stella ran into my arms, Jeremy following. They are the best.
"So what are you planning to wear?" Stella asked.
"Hahhaa I don't know actually. Probably just something casual I guess" I replied, forcing out a smile.
Jeremy rolled his eyes at the both of us, sighing, "girls girls girls. When will you ever stop?"
We all laughed.
*at the party*
I stood beside Jeremy, slightly clutching his arm, while Stella stood just in front of us. He could tell I was nervous about this, so he let it be. I was seriously not much of a socializing person.
Sean answered the door. "Hey guys, what's up! Come on in! And feel free to do whatever the shit you want! Let yourself go wild, yeah? It's a party! WHOO!!" He raced away. "What the fuck was that?" I asked. Stella muttered under her breath and Jeremy lead me inside.
His house was humongous! A diamond chandelier hung right above the entrance and he had such a huge TV spread across the wall!
Our jaws hung from our faces. The house was beautiful, apart from the fact that every kid in our school was here trashing the place.
SMASSSHHHH!!!
We were startled! We turned to face the direction from where the noise came from and this drunk kid yelled out "oops. Just kinda smashed your glass door aye Sean." Sean didn't even realize and he was nowhere in sight. There were at least over a hundred kids here at this party.
I hated it.
The smell of beer and wine made my nose scrunch up. It was gross.
Stella wondered of to god knows where and Jeremy stood by my side.
"Well, I guess it's just us two-" Jeremy was saying, before he got interrupted by some stupid drunk bitch spilling a drink all over my shirt. "Watch out will ya!" I yelled at her, before she turned to face me.
"No way, Jane? What are you doing here? I haven't seen you in ages!" She cried, hugging me. "Paige?" I questioned.
She's my half sister. When my mum married the first time, she had Paige. But then she got a divorce with Paige's father and married my dad and then had me. Paige was a year older than me.
She had hazel brown hair, eyes the color of cinnamon and beautiful long eyelashes.
"I missed you so much! Gosh, we gotta catch up sometime yeah? Oh and sorry about spilling that drink on you...didn't realize how full the glass was." She explained.
"Yeah, no prob." I said, putting on my best fake smile, trying my best not to look agitated.
"I'll let you girls catch on, I'll just be around here yeah Jane? Just call me if you can't find me haha" Jeremy went off.
So Paige and I sat down, outside on Sean's beautiful balcony and just talked about life.
"I miss mum, how's she?"
"She's fine" I answered in a calm tone.
Hours passed and I was having a great time with Paige, like we used to when we were kids, that I totally forgot to keep track of time.
"Shit!" I cried
"What's wrong?" Paige questioned.
"What time is it? I gotta get home no later than midnight." I cried, trying to stay calm.
"It's 11:53pm" Paige replied, in a soft tone.
"Oh darn. Okay well I really missed you and I'm so happy that we caught up at this party. Just give me a call when you wanna meet up or anything yeah? I gotta go and find Jeremy and Stella. Bye Paige" I mumbled, giving her a tight hug.
I ran into the house, looking for Jeremy and Stella. I couldn't see them anywhere so I decided to call Jeremy first.
"Hey Jer, where are you?"
"*laughing in the background* uh who's this?" He asked.
"What the. Dude it's me, Jane!" I screamed.
"Oh babeeeeee! I'm just in the kitchen with some cool guys I met, we are just having some drinks" he said, talking loudly into the phone.
He sounded drunk. Like why would he call me babe? Ew.
I hung up and walked straight to the kitchen.
And there I saw him, sitting on the counter, waving his arms in the air, clapping along to some song this kid was playing on the guitar.
I walked sternly to him and punched him lightly on the arm.
"Chillax babe" he said trying to pull me in for a hug. I pushed him away.
"We gotta go now, we gotta find Stella!" I looked at him in the eyes.
"Fine" he sighed.
He hopped off from the counter and put his arm over me as we walked.
"Can you not" I said pushing his arm off.
I took out my phone and dialed Stella's number.
"Hello?" Stella answered
"Where are you? We gotta go home" I said, sounding annoyed.
"I'm just upstairs with some of our seniors, they're really nice! But okay, give me 10 minutes and I'll meet you downstairs at the entrance okay?"
"Okay, hurry up." I urged her, rolling my eyes.
Jeremy and I stood near the entrance, patiently waiting for Stella.
Jeremy put his arm around me again.
"What is with you? Gosh." I said, pushing his arm away.
"I don't know, I just love you so much" he said, smiling at me with sincere in his eyes.
What the. No way. Wait what? Did he just tell me that he loved me? No. No. This can't be. What. No. Ew! Gross. No, I could never look at him in that way. He's just my best friend. Nothing less and certainly nothing more! He's probably just too drunk to even know what he's saying.
"I love you" he muttered again.
"Shutup Jeremy, you're drunk and you don't even know what you're saying so just shutup." I said, rolling my eyes at him.
Suddenly, he took both of my arms and held them firmly against the door.
"What the? Urgh get off me!" I cried.
He started nuzzling his face on my neck and softly kissing it.
"Jeremy! What are you doing?" I screamed.
He looked up at me and whispered "I love you" and before I could say anything he kissed me hard on my lips. His body against mine. His grip on my arms getting tighter.
I didn't know what to do. I couldn't move! Why was he doing this! Was he seriously this drunk to do this?
He slowly pulled his lips off of mine and stared into my eyes. He let go of his grip on my arms and just stood next to me, looking at me.
I slapped him.
"Ouch! What was that for?" He questioned.
"Shutup Jeremy. How could you just do that to me? You have never told me you had feelings for me and suddenly you just press me against the door and start kissing me? Are you insane? I don't even have any feelings towards you!"
He didn't say anything, he just stared at me.
Suddenly I saw Stella coming down the stairs.
I decided not to tell her, just because Jeremy was drunk and he might not even remember any of this tomorrow.
"Hey guys, thanks for waiting. Let's go now" she smiled.
