Callie's POV
--------------------

I walked through the door to my room and stopped by my mothers bedroom.
"Hey, I'm home."
"Okay," she smiled ",did you want to hang out tomorrow when you get out of school?"
"Sure." Then I continued my walk to my room and turned back to take my dog out. Through the garage, I fled on my favorite four wheels. I made halfway down the hill and the next song played,

Big dreams, gangsta, said you had to leave
To start your life over
But I was like,
No please, stay here,
We don't need no money,
We can make it all wor-

At that point I tripped over a pebble in the street. In the same order of events it had to be done in front of my neighbors. I picked myself up from the unnoticeable ground and noticed, my friendly neighbors laughing their heads off. Leave! I thought, play it cool dude! I could feel the grounds impact on my hands. So fucking embarrassing! Ugh! With that I ran of hot headed. "Let's go bumpkin."

Chris POV
---------------

"What the fuck you doin here?",he belched once more the spoke.

"I saw you today with that girl, black," he sniggered. I hope this fuck just disappears. I hope he dies. He done nothing but hurt and make people feel empty. My mom came downstairs, bruised all good. My eyes shun thundering bolts of hatred as the his drunken words slurred.

"Yea, I saw you two! What ya gon do son. Yeaaa, you know he like the chocolate right, Sheryl?" This pissed me off," Shut up you drunk cunt! You hit my mom and make fun of who I go out with-", with that he grabbed me by the throat, nearly levitating me in mid-air. "Watch the way you talkinn to your damn daddy! Just cos' your all big and grown don't mean that I can't still whip your ass. You piece of shit, you ain't ever gon be nothin and ya mama so fuckin dumb she is free and hasn't called the police yet.", he then finally let go of my neck, giving me a chance to catch my breath. "Don't bother yourselves callin' the coppers, I'll be gone by then." At that moment he charged for out of the door and disappeared into the nights darkness.

"I'm so sorry honey.", mother turned to the stairs and went to her room. What the hell, I thought. What about comforting your child. Why would she just leave me alone and cold and paining. I ran away with warm tears pouring through my eyes. I could barely see. Things were so blurry. I stopped to gather myself together, or at least what was left behind. I found a bench at the nearby park and sat in comforting silence.

I began sob once more till I heard a familiar voice call my name. Not the same drunken and raspy voice but a soft and concerning voice.

"Chris, is that you?"
