One of them (F!Reader x Darling in the Franxx)

Alone and Lonesome

"Big sister?" She called out to me.

"Yes?" I replied back with a small smile.

We were sitting together on my bed in our white sleeping gowns. In our room where the Nine's stayed. She was drawing while I was writing poems. It was like this our whole lives. We were never separated from each other. 

We are sisters.

I was the oldest while my lovely sister was the youngest. We have been together ever since her birth. My code was 003 while my sister's code was 002. I wasn't born the same way Zero Two was. I faintly remember being taken away from a place.. I believe It's called the kinder garden. I was taken to a lab and the last thing I remember was our father's scary face, named Dr. Franxx. I remember I was chained to a cold metal table and his last words before I blacked out.

"You are a special child! Your blood and genes are unique. Be happy. If you survive this you will my greatest creation! You will be even more than special, you will be humanities first and next step to evolution! The closest creature to be God."

"Do you remember the book we read as kids?" She asked as she paused her drawing to look at me. I paused my writing to look at her.

"Is it about the picture book? The demon princess and the human prince?"

She leaned her head against my shoulder. "Yes and that's the book from where your name was given by me."

"You mean the name (Y/N)?" I question her.

"Yes, the bird's name was (Y/N) and I thought it suited you. The name of the Jian bird.. I ate one of It's pages." She then hugged me tightly as she remembers the memories of her 'Darling'. I return the hug and place my chin on her head and soothe her back gently.

"Sis, you'll find your Darling one day. I promise you. We will find him together."  I said to her gently and I could feel her smile against my chest and then frown. She lifted her head up and looked at me with sad eyes.

"What about your Darling?"

"... My Darling?"

"Yeah! The boy that was with my Darling that saved us! The first time we saw the outside world!" She cheered trying to jog my memory.

"I believe he had spiky blond hair and glasses right? But I don't think that was our first time meeting, I think I met him before when I was still human."  I really wanted to remember my time as a human even though iIwas only... 5 years old? I can't even remember my exact age.

"I wish I could get you to remember... I only remember my Darling and not yours. I'm sorry (Y/N). If only..." She started to cry and I was soothing her back again to calm her down.

"Zero Two It's fine! Please don't cry! It's not your fault, you should only remember your Darling, mine is not important, yours is!" I said while hugging her with a smile on my face.

She broke the hug and crossed her arms and pouted. "But why? You should also have someone who will bring you the feeling of love, happiness and freedom!"

"Zero Two, as long as I have you I will never feel lonely. We're sisters right? We have been together since the start. We will search together! And like I said, I don't need a Darling to feel happy, as long as you are beside me I won't need anyone to fill the void in my heart, and I love you. That's why I don't need a 'Darling', I don't even remember the events that happened that day and I'm sure as hell I don't remember him or your Darling."
