Layla Wilson's life falls apart after the death of her parents *****
If only I knew that my parents would leave me that day I wouldn't have begged them so that we could take a hike in the woods . Who could have known that a simple hike in the woods...
Still amazed by how beautiful a school could be my grandma snaps me out of my thoughts
"Layla dear , I think you should stop staring at the school like that , after all .... you get to live here and study as well" she tells me laughing at how dumbstruck I was
"Umm ..." I say embarrassed ,since she caught me staring like that
"Ok hun , now can you help me get your stuff out of the car or are you going to continue staring..?" She asks me while laughing .
I quickly move over to the boot of the car and help my granny in bringing out the remaining of my belongings . She helps me take it to the entrance of the school which on the top of the wall was a gold board imprinted with Emerald Academy School for the gifted .
"Okay Layla , I have to go now , you know I have a long way to drive before reaching home . I'll miss you a lot , I still can't believe I won't be able to see you again till you come back for holidays " my grandma says while crying a little
"Grannnny please don't do this now ....you know how much I hate it when you cry . I promise I'll be sending letters to you as soon as I've settled down and am free " I said , feeling sad . Before pulling her into a tight hug
I'll definitely miss this old troublesome woman I say to myself *crying* in my mind .
"Okay dear I'll definitely miss you oh and here I brought something for you ....." she says pulling out a dark green emerald necklace

Ooookay ... why on earth is grandma talking like this and what the hell ! does she mean by I have to find my own path on my own ?
"Granny whah......." I was still talking But was interrupted by my grandma
"Layla I know what you want to say"

"I have to go now just make sure you always treasure this gift . It's a privilege that I get to give it to you" she says to me handing the beautiful necklace to me .
" I have to go now , take good care of yourself kiddo .." she says before pulling me into a tight hug , then quickly leaves me .
Okay ......that was weird What just happened now .
As I was still thinking I looked at the necklace , It seemed pretty simple but yet beautiful . I think I'll wear it now before I misplace it , I say to myself , before putting it on . The minute I put it on It felt like a little force of electricity just surged my whole body
"Ouchhh!" I say touching my neck which still hurts from the shock and the whole feeling of power surging through my body but quickly fades away.
Okay .....what the hell was that? As I was still thinking . I noticed some people looking at me like am a ghost
"Right ! am still at the entrance....." oh lord do I always have to be weird.
I decided to carry my things inside "ughhhh!! this is so heavy . Did I really have to literally pack everything?" I said to myself . Before noticing the hall way in-front of me
Oh my gosh ..... this school is awesome I thought the outside was mind blowing But I was wrong The inside was something outside this world.... Still lost in my thoughts
