Rest Well My Love

       Japan's POV

   

    It was the end. I was going to die. A tear fell down my face as China pulled the trigger. Everything seemed to be in slow motion. Some force pushed me out of the way. I looked up and saw America-san. He flashed a smile before getting up and attacking China.

   3rd person POV

  

    "You sure know how to involve yourself into other people's problems, aru." China growled trying to grab his fun which America had thrown. America held him back, "Well it's the hero's job to save those who are in trouble." China gritted his teeth. Why would he help Japan even though he was in his own war?

    Japan watched  fight dumbfounded. He had to do something. He had to move and help America. But he couldn't. He couldn't move, his body was frozen.

  China escaped from America sprinting towards his gun. Alfred ran towards Kiku. He knew that the other was frozen with fear. He couldn't blame him. Yao pulled the trigger you skipped through the air as America was shouting in pain.

  Someone was hurting his people, burning down buildings, and bombing. He could hear the cries of his people. The burning of the fires, and the Statue of Liberty crumbling down.

   The bullet penetrated America's body going through his heart. This was the end. He faced Kiku smiling as he handed the Japanese a gun. "Goodbye…Kiku…" Alfred muttered before falling down on the ground.

  Both men stood there shocked in disbelief. Was America dead? Japan cried silently in pain and hatred. He had to win this war! He had to! Kiku pulled the trigger aiming at Yao.

  The bullet hit right above China's heart. Japan walked over to him with a cold expression. "I've won." Is all he said to the Chinese before grabbing his gun.

In America a year later.

   Japan was visiting what used to be America. "Thank you…Alfred." He placed a flower down on the ground. He stood there in silence before footsteps could be heard.

  Japan turned around a saw a small child. "Hey Mr. do you know someone named Kiku? I have a letter for him from my daddy." Japan examined the child ehile he answered, "That's me." The child smiled and handed him an envelope.

  "I didn't read it I promise." The small child looked somewhat like America. Japan grabbed it smiling a bit. He opened it and pulled out a piece of folded paper. Unfolding it he asker the child, "What is your name?" "Well my daddy said my country name was United States of America. But my human name is George Jones."

  Kiku laughed. Of course his name would be George. He pulled out the letter and began to read it.

  Hey dude! So the war has been going on for awhile now and a little me showed up. I guess that means I'm going to die soon. When I'm gone can you look after him? It would mean a lot to me.

  So I'm having someone teach George, that's little men's name, about my history. I would love to teach him but I'm at war. I don't want anyone to know about him. Who knows, they might go after him.

  Little me already knows a lot of my history! It's so cool dude! And when I'm not fighting I tell him about what it is like for me at certain times. I can't wait for you to meet him!

   I heard you're at war Kiku. I also heard that you might lose. Don't worry I'm coming to help you. Hey Kiku…this might be my last entry. I'm going to say it now. I love you.

Japan bawled. America loved him. He intrusted the new America with him. George grabbed Kiku's hand. "Don't cry. It's okay." He smiled at him. "Your dad wants me to look after you. Don't worry I'll take good care of you." George nodded his head in understanding.

 

   "Rest well my love." Japan whispered scooping up George and leaving. 'I'll take good of him.'
