I hope you all enjoyed pop!!! It was so fun to write. This is just a little reflection on the book, feel free to skip it.
I decided to limit myself to thirty chapters, almost as an experiment to see if I could still fit everything in. I think I managed to fit most everything in that I wanted, and overall I'm really happy at how the book turned out. I'm probably least pleased with the Ritual of Chüd scene. I tried rereading the original scene and incorporating elements of it, but my version is obviously not as good.
There are plot holes in this story, probably. Because, you know, I'm not Stephen King. But with this book, I really tried to get in the characters' heads, and I tried to have a clear reason for everything that happens, even if that reason is "random stuff happens sometimes bc that's reality babey."
When I started writing this book, I had lots of ideas for a sequel (though I knew a sequel would probably not be as good as the original). So... there's that 👀
Feel free to ask me questions!!! About anything!! From "how was this character developed" to "why did he say that," I'd love to answer anything, because a lot of thought and planning went into this book, down to the little details. Ask away, if you want!
