its here baby!! enjoy!||

Balloon woke up in the apartment, on his unmade bed. His mind was clouded, and there was an odd taste in his mouth. He sat up, and looked over at the digital clock on the nightstand. 4:37 am.

There was moonlight filtering through the curtains of the window, illuminating the room. He turned to look across the room to see Nickel glaring at him, looking tired.

"When I said 'go outside', I didn't mean 'go into the forest, get drunk, and pass out in a ditch'. What the hell is wrong with you?"

The coin clenched his teeth. He'd obviously been staying up, watching Balloon. He was worried. This suprised Balloon.

"..what do you mean..?"

"You were gone for several hours, much later than you should've. I went out to look for you, and found you passed out in a ditch with several bottles of alcohol near you. Can you explain that? Where the hell did you even GET alcohol?"

Nickel grumbled unhappily.

Balloon tried to think about this. His memory came back in pieces. He vaguely recalled sitting in a ditch with someone, talking and laughing. Someone who understood him, and got his humor. But.. He couldnt remember who. The person in memory was a faceless blur. He remembered the taste of alcohol, and an odd, heavy sense of happiness. It was likely intoxication.

He blinked.

"I..I dont know what happened. I can barely remember anything."

He looked back up at Nickel.

"Why haven't you slept?"

"I wanted to be up when you woke up so I could grill you for answers."

"Oh, and I thought you were just concerned for my well being. Of course not. How dumb of me."

Balloon rolled his eyes, frowning.

Nickel sighed. "Hey, I may ACT like I dont care, but I DO worry. Its the least I can do, now that Im stuck here with you."

"Well, maybe you shouldn't care. I can look after myself. And I hate being stuck here with you, especially after all you've said and done to me before we got eliminated."

"Balloon, I've put the past behind me. Maybe you should too."

Balloon opened his mouth to respond, but closed it again, and turned away, staring at the wall for a few seconds before laying back down and pulling his blanket over him, facing the wall by his bed.

Nickel sighed, and layed down as well, deciding that right now it would be better to get some sleep than keep talking.

When he woke up, Balloon was working on the miniature of OJ. The sun was pretty high in the sky, and the clock said it was 8:54 am. He started to wonder how long Balloon had been working, because the sculpture was almost complete.

Balloon looked up at Nickel, and then back at his work, adding his finishing touches to the sculpture, and smiling a tiny bit, feeling proud. This one had come out perfectly. He put it with the other ones he had made so far, and carefully closed the box he had put them in.

Nickel hopped off of his bed, and left the apartment, starting to wander around the hotel, deep in thought. Last night's events confused him. After the way Balloon had been acting recently, it was extremely unexpected to see that happen.

He doubted that Balloon would have access to alcohol, and that he would even consider drinking it if he did. Especially if he was alone. Nickel would've expected Balloon to maybe make something out of the wood in the forest, or maybe flower crowns. Something like that. Definitely not getting drunk in a ditch.
