"HEEELP!" I release all the noise I can with the little air I have left in my lungs. "STOP!", Gage shrieked, he must of forgotten to be quiet because it was followed by loud noises. He sounded like someone had just punched him! "Why would you do this to me?!" I ask, still struggling for breathe, feeling like I might as well give up seeing that the footsteps went another direction.
"WHY WOULD I DO THIS TO YOU?!!? Gage shouted angrily, confused I ask weakly, "What?". He shouts again, "YOU HURT ME!" no longer able to hold back his tears he raised his hand. I grabbed his fist and hit him in the jaw with my own, suddenly feeling stronger. "HEELP ME!!" I screamed until my voice ran hoarse. "How could you?" Gage glared at me hurt covering his face. He crawled into a bush as people approached.
"VIVIAN!" my mom pulled me into a hug. "MY BABY!" she screeched in my ear as she pet my hair furiously. "Viv, are you okay?! my father said sandwiching me between the two of them. I felt tears begin to stream down my face as a relative patted my swollen eye. "WHO IS HE!? WHERE IS HE?! my brother asked, "I"M GONNA.." he was cut off by his girlfriend who cradled his head in her arms. "It'll be okay," she cooed, stroking his hair, "she's okay, you're okay"
"When we bought our plane tickets we bought for round trip" my mom explained, gently holding an ice pack to my eye. " But we will all stay together for the rest of the trip, you arent even allowed to stay in the car alone." She brushed a hair from my eye. "He also hit my ribs." I say feeling exposed and weak. I lifted my shirt to expose my wound and heard, "My goodness, Vivian!. I looked at the mark and was stunned. It was purple, green, blue, and black, it was the size of a newborn baby and stung like a 3rd degree burn. "Mmm..oo..mm..?" I stutter, "I'm scared".
"Were going to the emergency room!" my mother exclaimed. She grabbed her jacket and my wrist and pulled me out the door. "Gina, stop" my father grabbed her shoulder "Aren't we being a little dramatic?". "DON"T YOU DARE..." she at first spoke loudly then broke down, "my..baby...girl". She cried and grabbed my dad, she cried softly into his shoulder. All the crying made me realize what was going on, if only I could tell my mom it was Gage.
GAGE'S POV:
I woke up in a dark room, medieval looking torches, very dim, shined dully providing little light. I tried to get up off the floor, wondering what happened when I felt something holding me back, restraining me. "WHAT IS THIS?!" I shout wincing as the sound echoed in what seemed to be a basement. "LET ME GO!" I shouted getting a strange sense of devja vu, "what's going on" I moan feeling chills creep up my spine. "Okay, retrace your steps...in your mind" I thought aloud, "what was I doing?". I remember leaving the airport and...and...and what!?
I remember leaving and driving home, sitting on my bed and...and nothing. I remember nothing from that point on. Maybe I could call my mom and... oh wait, I'm chained to a wall. "WHAT IS GOING ON??!" My voice echoes around the room and I hear a thud. "OWW, my.. no stop" a different voice cried and a noise, like a bone cracking, splintered the air. I am a man and I realize this is childish but I cowered to the corner, fearing for my life, (and bones).
VIVIAN'S POV:
I hardly slept that night, afraid someone would break in the window and here it was only 8, so I texted Scarlett.
Me: Hey Scar, I can't go to sleep tonight plez txt me
Scarlett: I hpe u realixe its 11 here >:(
Me: PLEASE Scarlett, I'm scared
Scarlett: ok Viv uerpegihe
Scarlett: Hello Vivian, it's Scarlett's mother she has lost her phone privledges for 3 days do to a C in math
Me: Ok thank you anyway
I felt really alone and scared, my mom was asleep on the couch, my dad on the floor, and my brother went back to the hotel with Margret and his girlfriend. We were at my great aunt's house and I felt deeply homesick and in pain. So I texted Peter to see if maybe he would be awake.
Peter: Ok I'm super cute, I like to buy things 4 grlz, I have uber nice hair, I am mving out of te house next year and I am a listener
I almost forget that Peter's friend had texted me reasons why he should have Scarletts number. Pretty convincing and it made me smile even though I was kind of horrified.
Me: Hi Peter, I really need someone to talk to right now, I'm scared.
