::::Sky::::
My body seemed to be cold the next morning. Without knowing there was snow on the ground and kids playing with the well made me think about my childhood. I stopped looking at them and looked down at my coffee. The heat steamed up in my face as the wind blew it towards me, I watched the coffee flow in the cup as I started to doze off. Man it feels good to be free again. No more squids, no Deadlox to harm us, and no more world. As I thought about the world, I wondered what was going on in other places. I turned to see Alex standing there with a smile. "I see your enjoying your stay Sky." Alex said sitting down. My eyes turned to the children playing. "Is something wrong?" She asked me.
"No not really." I stopped looking at the kids, "Just a day dream that's all."
"Sky, please tell me?" Alex asked. "I want to know." She stood up walking in the house, locking the door for no one can entire. "What is bothering you Sky?"
"Just the kids, a memories. Sense I was a young boy, my family always kept an eye on us. Everyone said that children should stay out of the mines without an adult. But Deadlox and I weren't aloud in, like it was a stricken rule." I paused, taking in a breather. "We disobeyed." I said looking at her. "Deadlox forced me to play a game called tag. We never knew about the mines till we came face to face with it. I stopped looking at him."
::::::Flash Back::::::
"Deadlox, we should go back, you know this is a rule, where forbidden to go here." My little self said to Deadlox, who disobeyed my order.
"Come on, it'll be fine, no one will know about it." He turned and walked right into the mine shaft. I stopped looking in to find no sight of him but darkness. "Deadlox, come on." I screamed "Fine, I'll play your little game." I yelled in. I took a step in squeezing my hands for someone to yell at me. But nothing happened. I ran in looking around the corners. "Deadlox." I screamed again.
"Come and get me!" He yelled as an echo made its way to me. I stopped to see beating eyes staring at me on the ceiling. I screamed waking them up as I fell to the floor holding my head. The sounds made me cry as I cuddled in a ball. Then it stopped as I heard Deadlox scream. I ran yelling his name through the mine shaft. As I stopped to see a hole in the wall and a light coming through with a shadow moving. "Deadlox is that you?" I asked. I only heard moaning and weeping from behind the wall.
"Deadlox?" I yelled, but he said nothing. "I'm coming in." I pulled one block out, watching as the wall falls in front of me. I peeked in to see a dark shadow in the corner of the room. "Deadlox." I mumbled."Is that you?" I walked forward to see hands on his head laying in the corner crying. I turned to see a body laying sideways, then looked up to see writing and artwork on the wall. "Come on, lets get out of here." I grabbed his arms and pulled him up.
"Stop" He moaned. I stopped and stared at the wall again, this time amused to the sight. He stood walking forward. "Its a prophecy, our prophecy Sky, look, this is you and that's me. Where God's Sky, Gods to start a new world." I looked closer to see a picture of me standing with a budder sword. My hands up aiming at a figure all turned out, but had dark blue hands aiming at me. Then looked up to see A ginger girl and a boy being held captive.
"Deadlox, this is not just any painting, this is a prophecy, a war. Look that's me right there, but I don't see you!" I step back to hear foot steps coming towards us. "Get down" I yelled. A light came further towards us and the voices grew.
"THERE IN HERE." A man yelled peeking through the freshly turned wall. Deadlox, the youngest one with me held tight as he grabbed my arm. "SKY." He yelled gripping on my hand. "Please don't leave me." He yelled as one of the men pushed him away from me.
"DON'T PUSH HIM." I screamed trying to break free from the mans grip. "Deadlox, I'll be back for you, I promise." But that never happened, not until I was older. Deadlox was down there fore three weeks. When the town burned down, he escaped and was free finally. But something seemed wrong with him. And I never notice it till now.
::::::End of Flash back::::::
"And that's how everything changed. I thought all that writing on the wall was fake, a stupid writing just to turn my friend into an evil squid like thing. Now all I have is nothing but dusty memories." I looked up at her as she cried a little. I never knew everything was going to end like this, but all these nice people, all of them who love and share but also hate and kill and bully. I saw so much change in my life that I wish I could go back and change everything. My only best Friend gone and people dying.
"When life gives you something most important, don't let it go. I learned that from my friends and family." Alex pulled the blanket closer to her. "Life is a precise thing, don't let it go Sky, keep it towards you like a family."
