The diner was empty except for the tow of them. They sat by a the glass wall drinking milkshakes like they did almost everyday.
"So.." Eclair encouraged, "thoughts on high school."
"None," Toni replied, "I've never been to school and I'm doing fine so.."
"Your fine but you aren't having any fun cooped up in a house all day!" Eclair made a point.
"I go out of the house a lot," Toni reasoned.
"Like when?" Eclair crossed her arms and raised her brows.
"I go out for groceries, to do work at the library, for my job at the junkyard and to see you," Toni proudly replied.
"Seriously that's all!" Eclair was losing it.
"No," Vittoria thought, "I walk Yvo every now and then and I still run around to find a picture to paint.'
"That's my point," Eclaire squeezed Toni's hand, "Where's the partying and the rule breaking, the adventure and the boys!"
"Boys?" Toni felt dumb.
"Wait a second," Eclair thought, "you're not into girls are you?"
"No!" Toni blinked, "I don't know."
"Good cause I was definitely considering that you were.." Eclair let go of her cousin's hand.
"Okay what with all the sudden talk on leaping out of my comfort zone?" Toni asked.
"Hev," Eclair sighed, "I used to promise your mom I was gonna look out for you, and ensuring you have a social life is part of that."
"Hey!" Vittoria laughed, "I have a social life."
"You mean," Eclair said dully, "me, your dad, Mr. Cooper at the junk yard, Old Mary at the library and Yvo, your dog."
"Yes," Toni thought for a moment, "okay I get your point."
"Which is why I propose you go to school," Eclair smiled.
"Sounds a little much," Toni squeaked.
"You're smart so they'll be no problem catching up with the curriculum and your gorgeous, boys will start asking you out in no time," Eclair smiled.
"You do know my problem with socialising isn't the people it's the emotion," Toni leaned back.
"I know," Eclair bit the straw, "magic plus you, multiplied by emotions equals a new crater on the map."
"Don't say it out loud!" Toni scolded.
"Chill, no one's around," Eclair let out a small laugh.
Toni's phone started ringing on the table. She turned it over to see who it was.
"So," Eclair asked, "who is it?"
"My dad," Toni said confused.
"Why'd he be calling?" Eclair pressed the green button on the phone while Toni hit speaker.
"Hey dad what's with the sudden call?" Toni asked.
"I'm gonna need you to come home right now," he replied.
Eclair whispered, "Ask why."
"Heaven are you with someone?" her dad asked.
"Um.." Toni looked at Eclair who was shaking her head, "yeah I'm at the diner with Eclaire."
"Hi uncle J!" Eclair was forced to greet.
"I'm sorry to interfere with your outing girls....but I really need Heaven to be home," he said.
