The next part of my story will be starting shortly, where I will be working as a stable hand on a racing stables near my hometown. It's a live in position so I'll be sharing a room with another girl or several, we have shared tv, bathroom, get provided with food and power etc... It'll be hard work with long days and long weeks, but I was told it was a really rewarding job, with a great team, some riding and looking after expensive racehorses. It will be hard but I am passionate about horses, about being around them and looking after them.
I was told we get to go the beach with the horses, go out for trail rides and get lessons with a three star eventer, so no matter your riding level, you will get a chance to ride. It will really be an awesome job and an awesome position to kickstart my career of working with horses. I can't wait to go down there to try it out and see what it's like to work in a racehorse stable. I'll do a two-three day tryout to see how things go, but I am sure that I'll accept no matter what.
I will be doing my try-out on Wednesday to the end of the week, from then on we will see exactly how things go and whether I stay longer then that.
