Looking up ever so slightly at the powerful demon, you couldn't help but shiver in his presence. The aura that he exuded was unimaginably dominating and unpredictable, and that alone already made you wary. You kept your head bowed down as the leader of demons walked past you, quivering slightly in both awe and fear.

It had been a year ago since Muzan had given you a portion of his blood to consume, and made you one of the Upper Six. You had replaced the former Upper Three, Akaza, whom was now deceased due to being killed by a couple of the Demon Hunters. Seeing how the demon had just died without being given any form of remembrance or grief, it made you all the more determined to be successful in every task that you were given and perform to the best of your abilities.

The blood had made you even more powerful than you already were, and that seemed to please your leader greatly. You would often receive more praise than the others whenever you reported the results of your mission to him, and you would always feel a rush of satisfaction whenever it occurred. However, it seemed that one of the Upper Six had annoyed Muzan today, and because of that, all six of you were called on.

"It's absolutely ridiculous, how you each have a portion of my blood and more power, and yet you fail to be even a tad bit more intelligent! It's ridiculous, are you bunch of stupid geese? Hell, even they'd be smarter than you all." Muzan slammed his hands on the side of the pillar, which began to crack and fall into the abyss below. "Are you all brain dead, or do you just fail to have common sense at all?" He began to pace the Dimensional Infinity Fortress, footsteps echoing all around the place.

The newly Upper Moon Six quickly burst out. "Forgive us, Great Master! We aren't a bunch of stupid geese, and I'm sure we could perform better should we receive more help at times." The male demon immediately squeaked and silenced himself as Muzan turned to gaze at him coldly.

"So you are saying that I am incorrect, Gyo?" The red eyed demon's tone made the entire atmosphere drop and the visibly sweating demon now drip buckets of nervous sweat. "When have I never been correct? And whatever I say, will always be correct." He snapped his fingers, and a monstrous creature immediately leaned forward to consume his body, leaving a giant pool of blood in his wake.

"You will not tell me what to do, nor will you ever have the right to. I gave you my blood, and having even a little portion of my blood running in your veins should be more than enough to annihilate some useless Pillars." Muzan spoke to the rest of the group coldly. "I expect you to report better results to me the next time the Upper Moon Demons have their monthly gathering, or there will be consequences. Are we clear?"

A respectful bow and a united chorus of, "Understood, Master!" sounded before the Upper Fourth Moon demon, Nakime, began to send everyone back to their places. However, just as she was about to send you back, Muzan interrupted.

"Do not send her back, Nakime. She will be staying with me for the rest of the day." Your master slowly headed towards you, and you kept your head lowered down as he stopped in front of you. The Biwa demon looked up in surprise for a short moment, before making her own exit, leaving you both alone in the area.

Silence ensued the both of you for a moment before his voice sounded again. "Look up at me, (Name)." The red eyed demon gazed expectantly at you as you raised your head to meet his eyes. A gentle smile broke out on his face as you blinked in surprise, hesitantly shuffling your feet. Your black locks framed your face as he released the hair tie on your ponytail, and he hummed in satisfaction.

"You know you can relax around me when the other members of the Twelve Kizuki are gone, sweetheart." Muzan's husky voice sounded in your ear as you slowly eased up, bringing up your arms to wrap around his torso. "You showed some wonderful results today, I'm pleased with your report." His arms snaked around your waist as he transported the both of you back to his flat in the city. His mouth curled up into a smirk as he saw you flush ever so slightly, burying your face in his chest.

As he placed light kisses and gentle touches all over your body, you suddenly tensed up and let a frown appear on your face. Muzan, sensing the sudden change in your mood, immediately decided to ask you. "What's the matter, (Name)?" He murmured softly.

"Muzan, what would happen to me should I. . . fail on a mission that you give me?" Your voice shook ever so slightly as he paused from the gentle kisses that he placed on your neck. "Would you kill me then?" A sinking feeling in your chest began to form as he sat up, red eyes softly grazing over you. His next response was one that caused you to start in surprise.

"With all due honesty, even if I wanted to. . ." Muzan faltered, "I couldn't." He sighed as he slowly pulled you onto his lap. "I've always been a demon that killed whatever subordinates that failed. I don't feel much remorse for those who die by my hand either. In fact, I don't have any feelings except for malicious intent and anger at all. However, I suppose you've changed that."

You turned around to give him a warm and gentle hug as he continued talking, his grip increasing on you. "I don't reject this feeling though, I oddly welcome how warm it makes me feel inside, and how you make me feel at ease."

Gently poking his cheek, he couldn't help but let a genuine smile appear on his face as you teased him lightly. "It doesn't mean that you'll change in general, will you? You'll still be the all ultimate Muzan-sama that kills whoever or whatever that stands in your way."

Muzan nodded, resting his head on your neck and closed his eyes as you hummed a soft lullaby. Feeling himself drift off to sleep, he pulled you down alongside him on the bed and closed his eyes.

"I won't change in general, that is absolutely correct. They are not worthy of me being nice to them. However, when it comes to you though, I wouldn't mind one bit."

And that concludes my first one shot for this book. I do hope that you've enjoyed it! I'm pretty convinced that if Muzan actually existed he'd kill me on the spot for writing such a fluffy fan fiction about him and the reader, but you know what, it's all good.

Gotta let the reader dream every now and then, right?

Also, I've seen some Muzan memes, and I can't help but cackle over it every single time. The moonwalk and everything else suits him so well~.
