Chapter five

"I got him take the kids and put them in the car. All for a am I to check them over and call back up for them." I said running away they yell ok. I see the guy I was close to then. I hear more sirens and they were going to the house. He fired at me I dodged it. I kept running. I see an undercover Patrol car rolling upon us he fired at me and shot me I fired at him and he was down the undercover car speed away I got the license plate I went over to the guy and handcuffed him and grabbed my radio.

"27 David I need an ambo to the bridge by 13th ave, he needs help him," I said and threw his gun and fell
               End of recap jays POV

We were rolling around and here suspect down by 13th ave bridge. I look at Sarg he told me to go. I lit the sirens and we find two bodies I see a cop by the way it looks like and a guy next to the cop. Voight and I looked at each other and run. I see Olivia shot.

"It's Olivia," I yell hank called it in I see a license plate number she wrote down.

"Dispatch can you run a plate for me," I asked.

"Yeah, go ahead." They said.

"3, tango, pumpkin,5, 6, red," I said.

"That comes back to a government SUV Halstead." She said.

"Thanks." I see Olivias time pull up Voight was yelling at them. The one ambo took the suspect first and a patrol officer was with him. I see ambo 61 pull up, gabby sees everyone but Olivia and starts running I guess.

"What happened." She asked

"I don't know. A call come over the air and Voight and I were close sober came here and found Olivia and the suspect down." I said looking at Olivia

"Jay, we will do everything we can." She said I nod they put Olivia in the ambo.

"Ok, why was Olivia the only one running after the suspect?" Voight asked

"We had two suspects in the house and six kids. Olivia told us to call for an ambo and back up for the suspect while she went after the suspect." Andersen said. I looked at Voight.

"Well, that's what a good boss does, puts themselves in danger. What did they do?" Voight asked. 

"What do they do?" Moore yelled. "They took kids from parks, school, and bus stops in the morning." I look at them they all were mad.

"Who many dead?" I asked.

"Two out of nine, they left to go see their families," Blake said

"Well, we need to get them to their family's." They said and left

"What are we going to do?" Hailey asked.

"We're going to the hospital," Voight said we all got in the cars a drive there

"Are you and Sargent Lewis in a relationship," Voight asked me I look at him

"She's my best friend Voight," I said to him

"She's more than a friend or a sister jay." He said I looked at him

"Whatever," I said and just drive. We get to the hospital, I see will, April, Maggie, and a few others pacing back and forth outside. I walk up to them.

"Why are you pacing," Voight asked.

"Olivia's been shot. Jay are you bleeding." Will asked.

"No, it's Olivia's blood," I said they look at each other.

"Guys," Rhodes said we all look at him.

"She's fine, she only got bruises from the bullets hitting her vest and a few deep cuts from what looks like a knife wound. She's sleeping right now I found a note it's addressed to jay." He handed me it. I walk away and read it.

"What did it say?" Will asked

"Nothing important," I said we all went in Olivia's team went in first then Will and the firehouses peeps, Voight and everyone, then I went I sat next to her.

"Hey Liv, I saw the note, look if you can hear me. I was worried about you after what happened at the present. I can't do this I'm sorry." I said and walked out. I was crying and Will came up to me.

"What's wrong Jay?" Will asked. I look at him.

"What's wrong? What do you think, one of my best friends is in a hospital bed, and I can't do anything to help Will. I can't do anything." I said and I hug.

"I get it jay, I really do," Will said he sat down

            Olivia's POV

I open my eye and close them again then open them. I see I was in the hospital I sat up and push the nurse's button and April came in. She saw me and put a smile on her face.

"Can I get you something?" She asked.

"My phone and water please," I said she nod.

"Sure thing, do you want me to let everyone know you're up." She asked.

"Not yet," I said she nods and hands me my phone and some water. I play a game on my phone I got up and put on the clean clothes and Dr. Rhodes came in he checked my vitals. I see Will walk by and see me and walk-in. Dr. Rhodes left. Will hugged me. I hug him and signed the release papers. My team came in and talked to me about the case and how sorry they were. I told them to go home and we don't have work for the rest of the week. Voight came into my room and told me Jay left a while ago. I wasn't surprised, I got everything and I left. I was on my way home I went past Molly's and Jay's truck wasn't there. I went to his place. 

I sat in my truck and just thought about going in. I just went home. I got there and I unlocked my door and I made some food and I watched some Grey's Anatomy. I hear a knock on the door I got up and looked through my pep-hole. It was Jay, I open the door and let him in. We just stare at each other. 

"Olivia, I'm sorry for not telling you about your bother when you were at my places this morning," Jay said I look at him.

"You should have told me this morning and I would not be mad at you right now," I said grabbing our beers I open them and gave him one. 

"Olivia, I have to confess something to you." He said I look at him. 

"Okay," I said a little scared. I looked at him in the eyes he smirks at me

"Olivia ever since we were kids. I've loved you, I think about you all the time. Today when Voight and I got to the scene first and saw you shot, I felt like I was dying." He said I look at him.

"Jay, After I heal, I'm getting put back in," I said with tears in my eyes. 

"What do you mean by back in." He said I look at him.

"I mean I don't have a choice, I'm getting shipped out on a classified mission," I said looking at him. I am everything to him and he's everything to me but sometimes things don't work out. 

"But.... but.." He said 

"Jay you know the military is everything and you mean so much to me that I have to go on this mission," I said and kissed his cheek and hugged him, and backed up. But jay turned us around and put me on the counter I finished my beer and put it down and kissed him. He kissed me back. We started taking out each other's clothes off and went up to my room and you know what happens next............
