3rd Person POV

Jisoo leaned away from the corpse, his mouth completely covered with blood. Jeonghan watched as he licked his lips before continuing to feast on the flesh. "Well, of course he's hungry, he hasn't eaten in a week."  Jeonghan slowly chewed as he just kept watching Jisoo satisfy himself with the man's body, quickly making his way through most of the torso. However, it soon became clear he was starting to slow down, getting a bit full.

"Have you eaten enough?" Jeonghan asked, and Jisoo nodded, wiping his face with his arm, which really didn't do much because both were drenched in blood. "Ok, then you don't have to finish it all." Jisoo silently stared at the clump of flesh in front of him and started to cry.

"I..... I can't believe I just..." Jeonghan moved next to him, wrapping an arm around the younger demon and kissed him. "Don't worry, just think of it as a way of starting afresh, you're a demon now, and you have to learn to survive. This is just the first and most essential step."

Jisoo nodded, resting his bloody palms on his jeans. "Jeonghan, we need to clean this up." Jeonghan was a bit confused before deciding to read Jisoo's mind but in the last second he didn't have to. "If I'd been gone for about a week, my landlord is coming anytime in these next few days, maybe even today." They both knew what would happen if anyone saw this, so Jeonghan immediately wrapped the body up, tying the bags together so that it could be easily disposed of. "Alright, Jisoo, it's alright now, no more evidence. It doesn't even smell like death. At least, not to humans."

Jisoo sniffed, the scent of blood was still strong and he knew it was going to take a while for him to adjust to the heightened senses, at the same time, he wondered if Coco could smell them but he listened carefully and was relieved to know that he was still asleep. He must've been exhausted and he felt bad for not at least feeding him before putting him to bed.

Jeonghan, because he was the only one properly wearing clothes, quickly went outside and disposed of the body and came back all within about 5 seconds. Jisoo wondered where he put it but he was sure it'd never be traced to them.

Jeonghan POV

To take Jisoo's mind off a few worries, I decided to take him out for a walk with Coco once Coco woke up and ate his breakfast.

We go back to the park we went to when we first bought Coco, who was so eager to play he was pulling desperately at the leash. We find a pretty big space and let him run wild for a while, chasing pigeons. Jisoo ran after him, a large stick in his hands. He threw it. A bit too hard.

The piece of wood flew through the air so quickly it flew out of sight but I could hear a loud crash about 150m away. He purses his lips, "...Oops..." Coco just looks plain confused how the stick just suddenly disappeared, still, the little puppy was quickly back to his excited self as soon as Jisoo got another stick, not throwing a lot more gently so that it could actually be chased.

Jisoo's phone which was in my pocket, started to ring, and the caller ID just said 'Landlord' so I picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hello, who is this? I don't recognise your voice." He said, "I'm Jisoo's boyfriend, nice to meet you." he laughed. "I always knew that timid little boy would never get a girlfriend, haha, well, that explains a lot." He clears his throat.

"So I checked in his apartment, and because we've known eachother for so long I've arranged to get his bed fixed free of charge. I don't know what you did to the poor boy but I hope he's alright." I laugh with him and I see Jisoo looking my way from across the clearing of grass. "Ok then, sir, thank you for that and I hope you have a pleasant day."

"You too, goodbye!"

*Beep*

I heard a voice in my head.

Was that my landlord?

Yes, he said he fixed your bed for free and I thanked him for it. He's a nice man.

I see him smile and I smile back at him. He looks so happy, just like that time we first came here together.

As far as I know, the landlord didn't find anything suspicious and I doubt he ever will. He's a pleasant man though and I can see how he and Jisoo get along.

I join in, and the 3 of us are having a blast until eventually, Coco starts showing signs of exhaustion. "You wanna go home now?" I asked and Jisoo nods, still smiling as Coco lethargically ran around his ankles, prompting me to go pick him up.

"I think he's had a lot of fun, we can come back another time. Jisoo's gaze casted down to the ground I was curious as to what he was thinking but not wanting to invade his privacy, I decided to just ask him myself.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He shrugs, "It's nothing much, I'll tell you once we're home." he pats Coco's sleepy head.

----------------------

"Hey, so remember that story you told me when we first met?" He asked, "The day you showed me your home?" he looks nervous so I put my arm around his shoulder. "Yeah, what about it?"

"Remember how you said that now that you were a demon, you'd never get to go to heaven? That your family wouldn't see you again?" His eyes start getting sparkly with tears. "You miss them, don't you?" Jisoo nods, biting his lip as he tried to hold back tears that were already starting to fall. He hugs me and I hug him back tightly.

Nobody says anything, we're both just quiet as I let him cry into my shoulder. After  a few minutes, he starts talking again. "When I died, I know I saw God. And he gave me a choice between heaven and hell. In that moment, I knew I had to be with you, I knew you were in danger but I never considered that I'd have to leave all of my family behind." I can feel him playing with my hair, swirling locks of on his fingertip. "Of course, if I went back my choice would still be the same but now that I think about it more, I ... I don't know... I'm just so confused."

I wipe his tears with my sleeve and hold his face, waiting until he looks at me. "Hey, I know it's going to be hard to accept and I don't really know what to tell you right now but I can promise that everything's gonna be ok, I swear my heart on it, I'll never let anyone hurt you and I will do everything in my power to keep that beautiful smile on your face." I know that I've probably said may variations of this same thing multiple times by now but it wasn't a concern. "Jisoo, you truly matter to me and you know it, I promise we'll make it through together and I'll never break another promise again."

I'm still ashamed of what happened last time but this time, I've got my mind set and everything in my path will burn.

Yikes this didn't really turn out well for a first chapter, didn't it?
