unexpected love (Kevin X Reader)

The letter

.::Jamie's P.O.V::.

Jamie was sitting on his bed, the letter in his hand. He wanted to read it but he was scared? He then slowly opened the letter, a photograph fell out along with a paper, he picked the paper up and started reading

"hey Jamie or JJ, ya know? Like we used to call each other, you were JJ and I was kk, remember? Well maybe not... look I'm sorry for how I have been treating you, I never knew how much of a jerk I turned into before I met (y/n), she opened my eyes. It made me realize I lost something awhile back... my best friend, you... I remember the times we would hang out and do stupid things, and how you would also fall and get hurt, so I followed you back home and made sure you were okay. Or the times we would sit up all night talking about how we would always be there for each other, no matter what... I didn't keep that promise... and I'm really sorry for that JJ, I seriously miss our friendship... so I was wondering if you would come over and hang out like old times, you know, like when we were kids. I hope you will forgive me...

Jamie sat there looking at the paper, then down at the floor where the photograph was laying, he picked it up, it was a photo of him and Kevin when they were kids. Jamie gently folded the paper and placed the photograph on top of it. "I'm gonna give you one last chance Kevin..."

.:: Kevin's P.O.V::.

He didn't know if (y/n) read the letter beforehand but he seriously hoped she didn't, but most of all he hoped Jamie would accept his apology

"knock"

"fuck!" yelled Kevin out of surprise, "uh uhm I'll be there in a minute!"

He went downstairs and opened the door, "Jamie" he gave a slight smile "so are you gonna let me in or?" Kevin stepped aside and Jamie walked in "I didn't think you would actually come..." Jamie looked at him confused "why?" he looked at the floor "well after how bad I've changed, I thought you wouldn't give me another chance" Jamie placed his hand on Kevin's shoulder "one last chance KK" Kevin began to smile "I promise not to fuck this up JJ" Jamie laughed "you better not!"

The evening was great, Jamie and Kevin watched a few movies and talked about old times, they started to get close again, it was great, but one thing they didn't think of was how to tell (y/n) about all of it

"you never told her we used to be best friends?" Kevin asked "no...I didn't think I would have to, or that I needed to" Kevin sighed "we have to tell her at some point" Jamie nodded "I know"

The quickly changed the topic and went on with bonding all over again, they felt exactly like they did when they were kids

But one thing they didn't know, was someone listening to everything.
