The king & The witch

Flashback

Hello my people😊
I finaly was able to publish the next chapter.
Now the story begins.

Stefan
Right now we where staring in the dark eyes of the supposed dark witch, and while we all stare, i thought back on how we ended up here.

Flashback to the night before
Maximus and i are now back in the castle specifically the throne room while the guards searches the kingdom for that darn dryad.

"She will die by my hands!!" i yelled frustrated, while i pace back and front infront of my throne. "How dare she does this to me, doesnt she know she wont escape" i complained to Max.

"Stefan, please calm down" Max tries to reassure me, but im not hearing him, im too blinded by anger. "The guards are searching for her in the entire kingdom and they wont rest until they find her" he says calm but i can see the doubt in his eyes.

I let out a frustrated sigh, "Dont kid yourself Max, even you cant fool me, i know we wont find her" he looked down at his feet.

"Well if we cant find her, why dont we try to break the curse ourselves" Max suggested and i looked at him like he grew another head.

"Max youre a genius, will just find a mage or priest or someone who can break the curse" i exclaimed running towards him to give him a hug.

Then the realiasation hit when i saw the fear in his eyes, and i stopped abruptly and looked down, sad that i cant touch my friend.

But suddenly i felt arm wrapped behind my back and when i looked up i didnt Max in front of me rather behind me.

I paled " Max what are you doing, let go" i squirmed trying to get free and also watching were i put my hands.

"What do you mean what am i doing? Im giving my best friend a hug cause he needs" he says softly in my ears calming me down.

" But" i tried to say but he cut me off " but nothing" he says sternly.

"Now stop moapping around and think of a way out of this" he says with a smug.

Just as he says this a guard came through the door " Your majesty, theres someone here to see you" he says calm.

"Who is does that person think they are disturbing the king in his time of crisis" i shouted loudly in the guards face.

"Its a woman sir, s-she says she knows someone who can help y-you" the guards stuttered in fear.

I lied if i said i wasnt surprised, this mystery woman knows someone who may be able to help me.

"Send her in then" i told him in a duh tone " right away my lord" the guard scurried off.

" Do you think this woman can help us" Max asked, now besides me. "I dont know but do we have other options" i looked at him. He shrugged " Youre right we need all the help we can get" he agreed with me.

Then the door opened, and came in a strawberry head beauty that made Max's jaw fell open, even i was surprised that this beautiful woman may help me, huh maybe shes a witch.

"Your majesty" she bowed, " I was at the inn when you were cursed by the dryad" she says to me.

" It doesnt matter if you were there or not you said you could help me" i looked at her coldly pressuring her to get to the point.

" Are you a witch or something" i asked her curiously.

"No no, lord, im not" she dismissed my suspicions. " but i do know of a witch that can help you" she stated.

"Who?" I asked her.

"The Dark Witch Albafica" when she said those words, Max froze in his spot looking pale, who was this mysterious witch.

" If anyone could help you its him" she says proudly " He lives near the forest of ningyo" i was surprised to say the least, because the forest of ningyo wasnt named because of mermaids but because it was infested with drowners.

"But you have to trade with him to help you he doesnt take gold or any kind of currency" she says informly.

"Thank you lady" Max says finaly snapping out of his dreamworld.

"Your welcome, but be warned do not anger him in anyway as his magic is feared by many" she says fear in her own eyes. She bowed one last time and left.

" Do you know of this witch Max? and dont lie to me cause when she said his name you froze" he looked down " Maximus"

He sighed " Yes i do know him, but what the lady said is true his magic is to be feared, many had tried to defeat him but they all failed miserably" he looked like he was about to vomit.

"Whats wrong he cant be that bad" i said but deep down i know his probably much worse.

" Stefan, when he kills his victims he either use their body parts for his potion or casting or he burries them in his yard to keep his garden fertilised.

I looked at him shocked, this witch isnt just dangerous but crazy too, but even though i know that he probably is the only one that can help me.

I sighed and looked at Max with pleading eyes, he also sighed " Ill get some guards ready, go change your clothes will leave tomorrow as it might take a while to reach the forest" he says walking away.

The next day a few hours later near the forest of ningyo

" Be cautious my man, we know whats in these forest so keep your guards up and make sure your torches stays on cause these vile creatures are afraid of fires" Max shouted at his men while we started our journey.

As soon as we stepped in the forest there was a path made of what i recognised as midnight mushrooms, Max and i looked at each other then started down the path.

At the end of the path there was a shop or should i say house cause i can clearly see its a two story.

We made it to the front door without any problems, yet ,

" Should we knock or just barge in" i asked Max " knock of course remember where in his territory" Max stated and knocked on the door and no response he knocked again and again no response i groaned and pushed Max out of the way and started banging on the door.

As i did so the door bursted open and my guards instantly drew their swords cause right standing in the door way is a man in just his towel.

I can clearly see that he was checking out Max and that made me say " Witch i came here demanding you help us" shouted he checks behind me at the guards with their drawn swords.

He closed his eyes for a second then opened them revealing dark eyes and pure red pupils that made me flinch and take a step back.

" You are all dead" he shouted

End of flashback

Now where back at present time standing infront of the fuming witch
