Malec Wedding

Alec POV

Today's the day. It's my wedding day. I still remember when Magnus proposed to me.

Flashback
Magnus had called me around lunch and told me to meet him at his place at 8 for dinner, then he just hung up. That's weird I thought. He didnt even say I love you or bye, just click and he was done. Oh well. I shake my head and get back to work.

7 pm
I finished the last of my paper work and went to my room to get dressed. I sighed as I looked through my closet to see nothing that would make a good dinner date outfit. So I called Magnus

Hey Magnus
Why hello Alexander
Can you portal me home? I dont have any clothes left at the Institution.

There was a pause and a portal opened. Magnus walked through holding a hanger with a suit.

Here put this on. Then we can head home
Thanks.

I kissed his cheek as I took the suit and headed to the bathroom. I put on the suit and fixed my hair. Once I walked out Magnus grabbed my hand and pulled me through the portal. On the other side of the portal was the apartment.

Okay so what's all this about? When you called you didnt explain anything
It's just that you have been so busy with work at I wanted to see you, and I have a special surpise for you.

I rolled my eyes. I knew that look, that smirk could only mean something big was going to happen. I was excited to see what the surpise was.

Well what is it?
That my dear you will have to wait to find out

I groaned and shake my head. Magnus smiled and gently cupped my cheek and took my hand. He pulled me over to the balcony. I gasped at the beauty of the sunset in the background and the table decor.

Dinner will be served in a moment. For now take a seat

Magnus pulled out my chair and I smiled while sitting down. He pushed my seat up some then snapped his fingers and dinner appeared on the table. I gasped again and looked up at him. Dinner was all my favorite family recipes! Magnus simply smirked and sat down then made my plate. The rest of dinner was a blur. When dinner ended we went inside and Magnus made us some drinks. I was looking around the apartment when suddenly Magnus cleared his throat and I looked down to see him on one knee.

Magnus

I gasped and covered me

Alexander Lightwood. Ever since you walked into my life i haven't been able to do anything without thinking of you. I dont want to spend the rest of my life with anyone else so will you do me the honor of marrying me?

I nodded my head so fast I thought it would snap my neck. Magnus shyly took my hand and slid a ring on my finger. I smiled and grabbed his face then pulled him into a kiss.

End of flashback

I'm snapped out of my thoughts by Jace and Izzy standing in front of me snapping their fingers.

Big brother! Um hello! It's time to go.
Sorry Iz. I was just thinking about something.

I stand up and fix my tie then look in the mirror. I fix my hair then look at Jace and Izzy.

I'm ready. Let's go.

Jace and Izzy both take one of my arms and the three of us head towards the ballroom. Jace and Izzy will be giving me away since my father didnt agree to come. It's okay through, I wouldn't want it any other way.

The doors to the ballroom open and everyone stands up. I take a deep breath and Jace squeezes my hand. We start to walk down the aisle and I look up at see Magnus biting his lip with a tear in his eye. We stare into each others eyes for a few moments before Jace and Izzy place my hands on Magnus's. I cup his face and wipe away his tear and smile.

I look to my left to see my mother. She agreed to do the ceremony for us. She goes over the traditional text and asks if anyone disagrees with the union. When no one said anything she smiled and asked for us to say our vows.

Alexander, I love you so much. I thought that I would be alone for the rest of my life until you walked in. I cant do anything without thinking of you and I dont want it any other way. I want to spend the rest of my life by your side, to wipe your tears in times of sadness, to hold you in times of heartache and hard times and to be with you through thick and thin. Your my whole world and I want you to be with me forever.

I wiped my eyes and mouthed love you then cleared my throat.

Anyone need tissues?
I chuckled to myself and the audience laughed.
Magnus Bane. You hit me like a whirlwind. I didnt think that I would ever find anyone to stand by my side like you have. For the last 7 years we have been together. It's been the best 7 years of my life but I want to spend the rest of my lifetime topping the last 7 years. I want to be by your side in your time of need, your times of sadness, be your rock in times of anger and heartbreak, I want to be your everything for the rest of my life. I want you to be my whole world.

My mom wipes her eyes then asks for the rings. Jace hands me the ring while Izzy gives Magnus the other ring. I take Magnus's hand and slide the ring on and he does the same to me. Mom smiles.

Do you Magnus Bane take this man Alec Lightwood to be your husband?
I do
I now declare you to be Mr and Mr Bane. You may kiss your husband.

Magnus wasted no time and cupped my face while I pulled him into a kiss. We closed our eyes and just stayed still with our lips locked for what seemed like forever then Jace cleared his throat. I chuckled and pulled away. I linked my hand with Magnus's and pulled him down the aisle towards the dining hall.

The dining hall is where we are having the feast to celebrate the wedding. My mom made the cake and Izzy took care of all the food. The dining hall smells the best it has in years and the whole institution is waiting inside. When Magnus and I walk into the dining hall everyone cheers. I look at Magnus and smile.

"Who's ready to party?!"

Everyone cheers louder and I kiss Magnus before going to join everyone.
The rest of the night is a blur all I remember really was eating my traditional family foods and cutting the cake and smashing a piece in Magnus's face. It was almost midnight before everyone either passed out drunk or was too tired to keep drinking so they left. Magnus smirked and opened a portal then pulled me through.

Magnus POV
After the reception I opened the portal to our honeymoon and pulled Alexander through. I planned our honeymoon so that we get to travel the world but not have to pay for hotels. We will be staying in my verses  apartments around the world.
