Sequence break

Tari was still held captive by Belle and they're on their way back to Tascorp

"Lighten up a little, you look like we were gonna kill you and hide your body" Belle said to Tari

"You're kidnapping me, that's just as bad" said Tari

"Think of it as temporarily borrowing your body for research" said Belle

"Is that supposed to make me feel better, how about we open up and trill into your arm, see how you like it" said Tari

"You don't think I've suffered to get to where I am now, let me put it this way. An arm is the least painful thing for a meta runner to give up. You don't know how many friends I've seen and have given up everything for this" Belle shouted

"But that was under your own will, you agreed to do all of that" said Tari

"Listen, you cant remember anything right, live in this world for a couple of days and you'll be crawling back on our doorstep begging to be a part of Tascorp" said Belle

"I find that hard to believe" said Tari

"What are you gonna do, in this society video games are all that matter and if you don't win, you don't matter" said Belle

"What about Theo, what happens to him" Tari asked

"I have no idea what Lux has planned for him" said Belle

"He doesn't deserve any of this, he's just a child" said Tari

An unknown car rams into the one Belle and Tari are in

"Hey Tari" said Theo

Suddenly Lux showed up in his own car

"Belle, is the girl alright" Lux asked

"Quick Tari, get in the car" said Theo

"Get in Belle, you're driving" said Lux

"What about the whole being in public thing" Belle asked

"Get in" Lux said

The two of them drive off after Tari and Theo

"Theo are you okay, what's going on" Tari asked

The same man Theo met earlier was with them

"This is Lamar, he's here to help us" said Theo

"Do me a favor and put that hoodie on by your feet" Lamar said to Tari

"Why" said Tari

"We saw your back at the arena, big boss Lux put a tracking chip in you, the material on your jumper should block the signal" said Lamar

"That's how they found we were in that streaming port" said Tari

"Can we go back there later" Theo asked

One of the scientists pops out from Lux's car with a rifle

"They have a rifle" said Tari

"Calm down girl, I got this" said Lamar

Tari seemed to notice that Lamar was a meta runner himself. Then they saw up ahead that the road was blocked

"Oh hell no, this ain't good" said Lamar

"Should we stop the car" Theo asked

"Looks like I'm gonna have to" said Lamar

Tari took control over the car and she was able to get them back on the road

"That was sick" Lamar shouted

"Tari's a super genius" said Theo

"Where are we going now" Tari shouted

"A place where you'll be safe" said Lamar

Lux and Belle couldn't continue on the road because it was blocked

"Goddamn it, where the hell did she learn to do that" Belle shouted

"Change of plans, I no longer want her abilities for Tascorp, I want her" said Lux

Lamar, Theo, and Tari were all taken to a secret location where his two other friends were
