Aron was at the store for almost half an hour trying on all different shirts and a few pairs of pants. Although he had a good selection of clothing at home he wanted to get something a little newer. So after the half an hour mark he was ready to pay for everything so he walked up to the counter and placed it all on the counter. He knew the clothes might be a bit expensive so he pulled out his card that his mother gave him. Aron would use the card instead of physical bills so that way it would be easier. He wasn't quite sure how much was on it but he had a lot of inheritance money from his father. Aron had received most of it from the will that his father had written a long time ago. He wasn't quite sure why his father had only given most of it to him, his mother needed it more than he did, although he only would have said that back then. His mother was well off now because of the job she and his stepfather have. Aron missed his father and he had wanted to bring him back so badly. But he was only a young child, he couldn't bring him back. Losing his father had made him devastated and cause trauma because at 6 years old, you should never have to be told your father isn't coming home.
Aron's father had passed away on impact with another vehicle, it was a drunk accident and his father wasn't the one drinking either. It had been a semi driver who seemed to think that it was okay to drink heavily and drive. That was never okay and yet people still do it, it always made Aron a bit uneasy when his mother went out and drove, especially at night time. Aron's father was the CEO of a big company and had so much inheritance, but the company never went to Aron, it went to his stepbrother. He wasn't sure if his brother was still the head CEO now or not. It had been a very long time since he had seen his brother as well. But besides the point, his father had wracked up about 12 million dollars, Aron received over seventy-five percent of that money. Which was a lot to him and he was scared that something will happen to all of it if he was not careful about it.
"Uh, excuse me, sir, are you ready to cash out or do you need help?" A soft female voice asked politely. It caused Aron to jump a bit out of his daydream that he seemed to be in, this hasn't happened to him in a long time. He wasn't quite sure how to respond but ended up nodding and smiling a bit.
"Yes, sorry." He said a bit nervous as he now was unsure of the thoughts of the women in front of him behind the counter. Aron moved up to the counter a bit more and placed all of the clothing upon it. He made sure that he got a few new outfits and a few things that would go with what he had already. He then stood there as he watched her ring up all of the items and glanced at the counter and then the women a few times. He was a bit nervous as he was only 16 and the woman seemed to be a bit older than he was. But after a few moments, he had begun to calm down and get used to it. He knew he was going to have to anyway. Aron was not going to let his mother of all people help him with shopping for school. He knew what he wanted and needed. He didn't really need anybody's help with it. Aron watched as she wrung up the last item and looked at him.
"Your total is 79.85, cash or card?" She asks the question and probably had to ask that over a thousand or so times. Aron spoke quickly after so that way it wouldn't be much of a hassle. He told her card and he swiped the silver card with the golden emblem on the front. It was the credit card that his father had wanted him to have. He liked to have it with him, even if he didn't need it sometimes. It held the money on it and it was so much easier, then Aron didn't have to carry around any set of money because money had its limits when you could hold it. After Aron swiped it, he punched in the code and sighed like he always had to when he used his card. Once that was done, he replaced the card back into his wallet as he then placed it into his bag. He zipped up the tattered zipper and grabbed the bags after the woman placed the receipt in one of the bags. Aron held the bags tightly as he headed out of the store to finally head home. although when he reached the doors he hadn't been paying attention yet again and ended up running into someone.
