Ending part of Puppeteer 2;
Marinette was the last friend to escort home. When they were in the car, the atmosphere became awkward for a while till both apologized at the same time for earlier and they made up. When Marinette said about to stop making these pranks to each other. Adrien agreed and said that he was not good with jokes , saying that the girl he is in love does not feel the same way as him and he also treasured Marinette as an important friend.
Marinette's face changes from an interesting face to unspoken sadness and went silent throughout the journey, leaving Adrien thinking that he might have done or said something wrong again.
Marinette dragged her body to the bed and was heartbroken of her one-sided feeling for Adrien who treated her as a friend. A tear slipped down her porcelain face and more tears started coming out. Tikki tried comforting Marinette by saying life has many surprises in for everyone. Marinette tried to cheer up and wipes off the outcoming tears, but Alya called at that point of time.
On the other hand, Alya was hoping for good news but the news from Marinette was Adrien has someone he loves and sees her as a friend only.
Alya still heard the weeping and sobbing voice of Marinette despite the latter trying to hide it. She immediately packed her stuff and spent a night at Marinette's house, comforting her from her heartbreak the whole night before heading to school together the next day.
The next day.
Adrien & Nino bumped into Marinette & Alya outside school. Adrien and Marinette made eye contact but Marinette diverted it after 2 seconds and told Alya that she will go ahead.
Adrien felt hurt because he thought that Marinette hates him. Nino looked at Alya signalling about the awkward situation but got a head-turning as a return after seeing both of them. Alya told the boys to see them later with a smile and wave as she went after Marinette.
Alya sighed knowing she couldn't forgive Adrien for making Marinette sad but knew some things are just not meant to be even if they want to. Nino patted on Adrien's shoulder as a cheer up which he succeeded as both went to their class. Throughout the day, Both Adrien and Marinette didn't talk even if they sat at the same table for lunch.
During kitty section rehearsal at the Couffaine houseboat, the band was rehearsing in the open space as Marinette dazed to the sky with a troubled face even after the rehearsal.
Luka noticed that since the beginning and waited till the end of the rehearsal, and went to sit beside her;
Luka: Marinette, is everything okay?
Marinette: Luka. Yea everything is fe.. fe..fine.
Luka: really? But it seems you have something like this in your heart. (plays a sad and distant melody on his guitar)
Marinette smiled with hints of sadness.
After seeing the changes in Marinette, Luka then continued: personally, I feel like you are this.'
And plays the song he always hears after meeting her for the first time as a way of cheering her up.
"And the one who makes you feel this way is nothing but a (plays melody with obvious music of saying asshole can be heard) "
Marinette gave him a warm smile: Thanks, Luka. It was really kind, both your music and you.
Luka replied his pleasure by playing his guitar and both giggled. Marinette decided to pull herself up by taking a deep breath and started to focus on her surroundings now.
