Birthday Treat

[Naruse's POV]

It's May 21st, which means, it' Asumi-kun's birthday today! Geez, it's already been a year since, well-- We started dating. It's surprising that Ichika doesn't know yet, though. Don't worry, we'll tell him, eventually.
I wanted to surprise him for all the help he's brought to my life & Ichika, & a love life, too. I was planning something a little romantic for him.
Good thing it's a Saturday, I was planning on bringing him & Ichika to stay overnight at a beach resort. It's been a while since I went swimming, & a while since we went bonding. I wanted this to be the perfect day for Asumi-kun.
They were both still asleep, & it's already 12AM! (To be fair, they were pretty exhausted yesterday. Ichika spent the whole day playing, & Asumi-kun, well-- for other reasons.)
While they were sleeping, I had already booked an overnight stay.
I rented a small hotel room that had access to a private pool. Snazzy, I know. I wanted Asumi-kun to feel warm & cozy with me & Ichika.
As for the food, I reserved a table at one of the fancy restaurants from the resort.

(Time skip)

I just got done packing up our things that were to be brought along. I finished packing up Ichika's things, too. I tried not to wake up Asumi-kun, but ultimately failed, which kind of ruined the surprise...

*Yawn* "Hey, Naruse-san! W-wait, what are all these bags for? Are you heading somewhere?"
"Ah, well... I was thinking of going to the beach for your birthday..."
"Re-- Really?! W-wow, thank you, Naruse-san. I actually almost forgot it was my birthday today, whoops..."
"I called Yuiku-san to pick us up & bring us there. We're lucky he has time to do that, actually."
"Neat, when are we gonna leave? Maybe there'll be time for me to prep us some food."
"Haha, you don't need to worry 'bout that, Asumi-kun. We'll be eating out this time. Please don't tire yourself on your birthday, I want you to rest this time."

I went over to where Asumi-kun was lying, & knelt down to give him a reassuring kiss. We kinda looked like Snow White & her prince, cute.
It was just supposed to be a quick & sweet kiss on the lips, but I don't know how it became a passionate make-out scene. I won't complain, I loved it.
Asumi-kun pulled me in closer by pulling me by my collar, but of course, now wasn't really the time, & so I placed both my hands on his chest & pushed back.

"I'm sorry, Asumi-kun, I know it's your birthday, but there's things that I have to do. Don't worry, later, i'll be treating you with something better than a kiss."

-I said with a smirk. I cringe whenever this happens, Asumi-kun is usually the seductive one. It never goes well with me.

(Time skip)

I: "Papa! Are we here already?"
N: "Yes, we're here. Hey, Yuiku-san, thanks for dropping us off. Stay safe!"
A: "Yeah, thanks! Hope you drive back safely."
Y: "Heh, it's really no biggie. You guys have fun, & happy birthday to you again, Asumi-kun!"
A: "Thanks!"

Yuiku-san dropped off the final bag onto the ground, & went back into his car. He slammed the car door shut, as Ichika was waving at him while he was driving off. It's either my skin got used to coolness inside of Yuiku-san's car, or it's really hot out here.

I: "Ah, papa! It's really hot! Can't we go swimming now?"
N: "No, Ichika. We have to go to our room first."
A: "Don't worry, Ichika-kun! You'll be able to cool off in no time."
I: "Hmph!"
