He will ruin everything

"No!" I shouted. "I need to do this on my own. He will mess up and get up in trouble."

"Kate," Uncle Brian said in a warning tone. "You will still be there if, and only if, he messes up.

"He will ruin everything!"

"That's enough Kate! We need this!"

I was taken aback by his shouting but I nodded in reluctance. "Yes Uncle Brian."

Tej handed Roman the box containing the toy car and we got out of the van.

*Small time skip*

He was failing miserably at trying to swoon the poor woman. Soon he got us in more trouble because a guy came up to the window and stared at us.

"Oh, hello!" I said in fake surprise. "My partner doesn't seem to have any manners. He is new to this. Do you think you can help me?" I added the last part seductively.

The man grinned and licked his lips. I seriously feel the need to barf, preferably in his face.

"For a pretty lady like you, anything. Maybe you can swing by my place after shifts are over."

I giggled slightly to keep up the act. "Oh, I don't know," I paused. "It depends on if I can be helped?"

"What do you need?" He said with a devious smirk.

"Can I take this into the evidence room? It's files that the higher authorities want to keep under lock and key in the most obvious of places."

"I would love to, but I am not allowed to let you in there."

I lowered my head and let my hair cascade down my face and batted my eyelashes. "Can you do it for me?"

He grinned. "Of course Princess." He took the box and disappeared from sight. I dropped the act and pulled on a disgusted face while pulling Roman out and back to the van.

"Told you, he will ruin everything."

I'm not very active and I've been getting lots of writer's block and I am so sorry! The chapter is short and I am sorry but that is all I can do for today.
