I look at the dye as the woman stirs it; an ugly color of brown lined the bottom of the bowl. The cracked-along-the-edges bowl was warm on my hands, desperately trying to loosen the thick jumble of nerves. I was scared.
The woman hands me a clipboard, and with a brusque, cold, "choose a name," she leaves the room.
I scan the board looking for some name I don't mind.
