i know this is late but when i found out i was honestly in so much shock i completely forgot to mention it,
i think it's disgusting that online abuse and the way idols are treated can lead to such a tragedy and people are still leaving disgusting comments on her last instagram post.
after jonghyun i thought some people would've learnt, i thought that at least SM would take some extra care and make some extra precautions for their artists but clearly they haven't.
i know that for a few weeks or months everyone will be praising mental health awareness and anti bullying but it will go back to normal - where people think that because what they are saying behind a screen doesn't count because it does. even when things go back to 'normal' sulli and jonghyun still won't be here, praising anti bullying doesn't do shit if after a few weeks people will go back to hating. people tend to forget that idols are humans and have feelings and have a breaking point.
as horrible as it is too say there's a high chance this may happen again until we realise that what people say on social media counts.this isn't just the media's fault it's down to SMs treatment too i don't think it's a coincidence that 2 artists from a company already known for their shit treatment to their idols have taken their own life.
whether you're an SM stan or not although i'm guessing most of you are as you're reading an nct ff, it shouldn't matter it's not just SMs fault and it's not their 'mess' to clean up cos it's down to every last person who wrote a negative comment on anything sulli did.people need to learn the difference between constructive criticism and hate, yes i'm all for being able to share your opinions as everyone is entitled to them but there's no need to leave hate, if you don't like an idol or their music okay? you don't have to comment hate just don't watch any of their stuff.
ik this is a rant and if you read even a part of this thank you bcus it's important for everyone to learn how even one comment can affect millions of lives.
i didn't properly stan sulli or jonghyun but it's weird to explain but to me i feel like i knew her like we're all apart of this massive kpop family and now there's just another empty space.
the worst part of all this is was yes although there where signs that where unfortunately ignored you never truly know what someone is going though especially a celebrity/idol.
we don't know the shit in their personal lives, some have lost parents and friends and go online only to find loads of hate.RIP sulli❤️another angel has returned home,
the world didn't deserve you❤️
