"jaehyun hyung" mark smiled when he saw jaehyun walk through the coffee shop door and make his way over to the table.
"markie i've missed you" he eye smiled,
"it's legit been 2 days, you need me that much huh?" mark laughed, jaehyun just shook his head at his younger brother a genuine smile on his face.
"aNyWAy, haechan" jaehyun smirked as he sat down on the couch next opposite the latter,
mark just blushed instead of responding.
"he is also missing you a lot" jaehyun chuckled at the state of his brother.
"i miss him too, everything's just a bit complicated at the moment i haven't had much of a chance to text or call him" mark suddenly felt an heap of guilt hit him making him feeling uneasy in his stomach, worried what the younger was thinking.
"well you can speak to him in school tomorrow he'll understand everything i'm sure" jaehyun reassured, mark nodded with a slight smile.
"so what is going on at home at the moment?" jaehyuns tone suddenly changed, now deadly serious and concerned.
"erm well i've found out quite a lot in the past 2 days.."
a woman walking into the coffee shop caught his eye
"...and it's almost like that was planned"
mark said watching his mothers eyes search the coffee shop for them.
jaehyun followed marks gaze, his calm expression being replaced with a more angry and confused one.
"what the fuck is she doin here?" jaehyun said his jaw tightened glaring at mark as their mother walked over to their table.
"hello mark,, jaehyun" she smiled as she sat down next to mark.
"i'm leaving" jaehyun stood up ready to go,
"jaehyun, please hear her out" mark said sincerely,
"jaehyun" her soft voice called as she sat down on the small table.
"sa-yeon" he muttered diverting his eyes from hers. both mark and their mother were in shock, they'd never addressed either of their parents by their real names.
"jaehyun-" she was cut off.
"please just make it quick i have things to do" he said looking at his watch still not making eye contact,
she took a deep breath and started explaining, start to finish explaining her life and explaining why she treated him the way she did. by the end of it everyone was teary eyed all of them had been through so much pain because of who they are.
"why are you telling us all this now?" jaehyun asked wiping his stray tears.
"well because something i found out made me remember who i truly am and everything that had lead up to this point in my life" she said slowly and calmly ,
"what did you find out?"
"your grandparents are coming to town"
mark of course already knew, he watched the realisation and horror spread across jaehyuns face. they had barely ever seen their grandparents and she never talked about them until now and it all was making sense.
"they want to reconnect and try and be a happy family" their mother smiled painfully, mark sniggered at their ignorance and stupidity.
"can't you just say no?" jaehyun asked confusion and anger evident in his tone.
"it's not that easy, they are the reason me and your father are married and i don't wanna know what they could do" she looked down.
"look we love you both buts it clear you don't love eachother" mark said, jaehyun nodded in agreement.
"there's some things that you boys don't need to know" jaehyun and mark made eye contact speaking through their eyes before nodding not wanting to push it.
"when are they coming?"
"next friday for a week or so, so jaehyun you need at stay at home within that time" his mother said taking a long sip of her coffee.
"wait what?" he said with a raised tone making people around the cafe turn their heads.
"they can't know the situation or that you are g..g-g-" she stuttered,
"gay"
"yes, that"
"i have to go" jaehyun stood up,
"jaehyun please-" she was cut off,
"mark come with me" jaehyun said grabbing mark by the arm and walking out ignoring his protests and his mothers shouts.
"hyung" he pushed mark into his car and then got in himself.
"hyung" he put his keys in and started driving,
"hyung" mark shouted now finally getting jaehyuns attention,
"what?!" he shouted
"what are you doing?" was taken aback by the elders sudden change in attitude.
"we're leaving" jaehyun said completely monotone.
"leaving? what do you mean?"
"we're leaving this shitty city and starting somewhere new"
