Harry, Hermione, and Ron were waiting for their fifth year at Hogwarts to begin.The Great Hall was astonishing with the floating candles glistening by the golden walls. Harry was rather surprised to see that Hagrid wasn't there. "Did anyone see that Grubby-Plank woman?"asked Ginny. "What's she doing here? Hagrid couldn't have left,could he ?" wondered Harry. "Maybe he's not back from his mission, the thing he was doing over the summer for Dumbledore"suggested Harry. "That will be it"said Ron sounding reassured. "Who's that ?" exclaimed Hermione pointing to the middle of the staff table. Harry followed Hermione's eyes. First they looked at Professor Dumbledore. Then they looked at the lady sitting next to Dumbledore. She was a plump woman with short, round, brown curly hair, a toad like face and pouchy eyes. She wore a fluffy pink sweater over her robes ."That's the Umbrige woman" said Harry sharply and loudly. "Who's that ?"asked Hermione surprisedly. "She was at my hearing. She works for Fudge" answered Harry. "If she works for Fudge, then what on earth is she doing here?" exclaimed Hermione. Later the new First Years entered the Great Hall led by Professor McGonagall who was carrying the ancient Sorting Hat. The First Years were highly amazed, yet terribly horrified. Once the Sorting Hat was put down it sang its new song.................."Suddenly Dumbledore stood before them."Good evening. A warm welcome to our new first year students and a welcome back to our old students.We have a new teacher for Defense Against The Dark Arts. Please welcome Professor Umbrige". There was a round of applause for her then it slowed down. Suddenly everyone heard "Hem hem. Thank you Headmaster for those kind words of welcome. Its lovely to be at Hogwarts. And to see those smiling happy faces looking up at me. I'm sure we will be very good friends............................". Once Umbrige's speech had finished, a million plates appeared out of nowhere. There were dishes of vegetables,breads,sauces and flagons of pumpkin juice. "Excellent mouthwatering food"said Ron with a longing of deliciousness and seized the nearest plate. " Later when the feast was over Dumbledore made one last announcement. "I hope you enjoyed the feast but now I have on last announcement. We have another student who will be joining the fifth year. I am proud to present................................................Willow Potter !
