Chapter Sixteen

Next Day
I looked up at the board as someone tapped me on the shoulder.
   " Hey, he wants you", Ashley said.
  I turned and saw the new student, and i then looked back to Ashley.
    " Did he tell you why", i asked 
" Don't know, only wanted to speak with you", she said jumping up to the spot next to me. 
    " Well it will have to wait, till after class"
 Ashley and I finished up our work until class was over.
    " See you Thursday-
 " okay bye", Ashley said before leaving.
    I left the room and sat my stuff down in the lobby.
      " Hey Emerald  right", said the new guy.
  " Yes that my name", i said turning to face him.
       ' I was wandering if you would date me", he asked 
" Sorry, i am engaged', i said showing him my ring.
He stormed off in a hurry. I grabbed my keys and then my stuff before heading to my car.
  " Coral', said the most annoying voice i have heard
     I turned and faced Ryan's father. 
  " Yes", i said 
      " Who was tha-
  " Just some new student that tried to ask me out", i said crossing my arms.
      " And yo-
 " told him i am engaged, then he stormed off, it doesn't bother me one bit that he stormed off", i said cutting him off again.
     He narrowed his eyes at me.
  " Now good-bye", i said before continuing to my car.
I unlocked my car, put my stuff in then drove off. I reached home to see Misty outside on the phone. I stopped and get out of my car and ran to Misty.
   " Oh thank god you are alright", she cried dropping her phone to hug me.
  " Missy what has happened",  i asked
      " Someone broke in while you and i were at school", she said looking back at the door. " the cops are on there way"
  " Apollo", I yelled.
I heard a yelp of pain come from inside. I let Misty go and ran inside to look for Apollo. 
    " Coral", yelled Misty.
I ran to my room and saw Apollo the with a large open wound on his side. I went over to him, and carefully picked him up.
    " Mis-
 " Coral Seto, you fool", said a voice from within the darkness.
Wait that voice, its the same as from- the new guy.
    I rushed Apollo outside and the police were here now.
      " I need to take him to the vet", i yelled to the police.
Ryan has now pushed past the police and came down next to me. I looked down at Apollo and his breathing slowed down a lot. He licked Ryan's hand, right before he stopped breathing. I started to cry, Apollo has been with me since i lived here. He took care of me as i took care of him, now he pasted that to Ryan. Ryan had now taken me into his arms.
   " Hey, he was a fighter, remember that", Ryan said holding me close.

Hey sorry if you guys didn't expecting Apollo to die. I hope that didn't make any of you hate me.
