I grab the softest blanket I can find, walk up the stairs leading up the roof, wrap it around myself, and lay on my mattress I keep up there to watch the sunset.
The sky erupts in so many different colors.
Red, orange, yellow, purple, pink.
I jolt up hearing the door creak open and then exhale.
Shawn.
"Hey beautiful." He greets me and sits beside me on the mattress.
We lay down together with the blanket over both of us just looking at the colors of the sky.
"How you been feeling?" He asks looking over at me.
My eyes meet his and I smile at his concern for me. "Definitely better." I reply.
"Good." He says back.
He wraps his arms around my torso and pulls me in closer to his warm body.
I rest my head into his chest and sigh, relaxing into him.
I close my eyes because I'm exhausted.
He smooths down my hair and then goes back to hugging me.

I wake up engulfed in Shawn's warm arms in the same position I fell asleep in.
He somehow wakes up just when I do and smiles as soon as his eyes lay on me.
"Well good morning beautiful." He whispers pecking my forehead.
I smile, "I could get used to waking up like this." I giggled.
After our little cuddle session we slunk out of the mattress and down stairs.
"Well helllloooo love birds." Carter greets us when we reach the kitchen.
"Hello Carter." I say and I sit on the couch after Shawn says he'll make us breakfast.
"Where's Maggie, Carter?" Shawn asks while putting the eggs on the skillet.
"She's coming in a few minutes." He answered turning on the tv.
Victoria Secret Fashion Show comes on.
"I swear it's illegal to be that perfect." I confess to Carter.
"Maggie's even more beautiful than any of them." Carter says not even glancing at the tv.
Maggie walks over surprising him with a kiss.
"Aren't you just the sweetest." Maggie jumps over the couch and sits on his lap.
His arms wrap around her tiny body and she sinks into him.
Shawn walks over with eggs, bacon, and toast on a plate and hands it to me.
"We're cuter than them." Shawn brags and Maggie throws a pillow at him.
Shawn gives me a quick kiss and then leaves to grab his own plate.
