I wake up in my hospital bed suddenly.
I look around and see balloons, big stuffed bears, and boxes of chocolate from my friends and family.
I look down at my arm and a huge cast is around it all the way up to my arm pit.
I see the door start to open and Matt walks in.
"Hey there sleeping beauty." He says coming over.
"Shouldn't you be at Magcon?" I ask smiling.
"I skipped for my baby sister. They all say to get better soon." He says looking at all the stuff I got.
"Tell them, when you see them, thanks. I can't wait to get back there soon and see all the guys again." I say thinking about them and Magcon.
"Well you can tell them yourself." He says and opening the door.
All the guys run in.
"Shyra!" They all yell and hug me watching my cast.
"Oh my gosh guys! What about Magcon?!" I ask not being able to get the smile off my face. I'm so happy they're here.
"We canceled for our girl." Taylor says kissing my forehead.
"I missed you guys." I say and they all grab my hand.
My arm that isn't super broken lifts up and I feel a stinging pain.
"Ow!" I say and my arm falls down.
"Are you okay?" They all ask.
I look under my arm and find huge burn marks underneath.
I panic and look other places.
I look under the covers at my legs.
All up the side are burn scars.
"What happened?" I ask in a panic.
"You don't remember?" Matt asks worried.
"Was I in a house fire?" I ask thinking I remember bits and pieces of it. The smoke in my lungs made my brain foggy too.
Matt gives a sigh of relief, "yes you were. We all got out and when I tried to go get you, the passage way to your room was blocked off with fallen pieces of wood. So the fireman went in and brought you out."
"When did this happen?" I ask.
"2 days ago."
I nod and look at my burns again.
"Will I have these forever?" I ask getting stinging tears in my eyes.
"I don't know." He replies and everyone leans over and hugs me, being careful of the burns and my arm.
The door opens again and it's the doctor.
"So you're awake. That's good." He says sitting at a desk with his very small laptop typing in a few details about me.
"How do you feel?" He asks me.
"Well, I guess I feel okay. My legs and arms kind of hurt." I say.
He smiles, "Yes, that's what I would think. With a dislocated arm and many burn marks, you can't be the most comfortable person in the world."
I give a little fake smile.
"So when can she leave?" Aaron asks and all the other guys nod like they were going to ask that, too.
"Today actually. She's been here for about 3 days so I think you're okay to go. Let's just cast up your arm and you can go home. Although I do want you resting for at least a week to let those burns heal a little more." He explains. I nod and so do the guys.
A nurse brings in a wheelchair and I start to get up.
I cringe because of the pain shooting up my leg.
I fall back onto the bed on accident.
"Here, we'll help." Cam, Shawn, and Hayes say. They all help me onto the wheelchair and I sit down in it.
"Thanks guys. I love you all!" I say kissing them all on the cheek quickly then leaning back again.
"We will have her out soon." The nurse says to everyone as they wheel me out.
I give a little wave and they all wave back.
