Hi guys! This is my first story here on Wattpad, so I just want you guys to know that I'm still new at writing. A friend recommended Wattpad to me, so I signed up. Anywho, here ya go!
===="Hey Kiki!" I heard from behind me. Sighing, I turned around. My name is not Kiki. It's Sonaki, emphasis on the 'na'.
"What do you want?" I asked. I thought I was going to have a break from the boys today, but obviously not.
"What makes you think we want anything?" the leader of their 'pack' said.
"You beat me up almost every day," I said, looking down at my shoes. "Usually, it's because you want to steal what little money and food I have."
"What, your mama don't bring in enough money?" one mocked.
"Don't you talk about my mama like that," I growled.
"What was that?" The leader asked, though he clearly heard.
"I said, don't talk about my mama like that!" I said again, louder. If I'm going down, I'm going down swinging, protecting my family.
"You got guts, Kiki." They walked towards me. "Too bad they'll be gone when I'm done with you."
The boys form a ring around me, trapping me in. The leader steps in the middle, cracking his knuckles. He smirks as I bend my knees, putting my fists up to protect my face and stomach. I've seen boys fight each other, and I've also seen some pretty nasty girl fights. Lucky for me, the leader's hair was long enough for me to grab.
He stepped forward. I panicked and run sideways. He barely clipped my shoulder with his fist. He span around, aiming for my legs. I'm knocked down and vulnerable. I rolled out of the way, eyes wide. I've never lasted a fight this long.
"C'mon, hit her already," a boy said to my left. A murmur of agreement was heard.
I decide to try and fight back instead of dodging. I learned from watching a few fights that this particular boy steps with his left foot when he swings right, and vice versa. Also, he lets his guard down after he swings. Concentrating on his feet and my feet, I moved around the circle. Step. Keeping myself as calm as possible, I ducked. I felt the air off of his hand. Next time, I'll run up and kick his knee.
Stepping with his other foot, he aimed for my jaw. I leaned back, his fingers brushing my nose. Ducking down, I ran at him. I panicked, so I latched onto his legs. The boys started laughing. Not really thinking, I bit his leg. He yelped, and I bit him again. He kicked me off, and I landed in the dirt. More precisely, in a pile of wooden boxes. I'm pretty sure it'll take a while to get all these splinters out.
"Thought you were getting out easy, huh Kiki?" he laughed.
"My name isn't Kiki, now stop calling me that!" I yelled.
He leaned down to grab my hair, so I grabbed his arm, pulling myself up and swinging around. I'm genuinely astonished that I'm not hacked to pieces by now. He stumbled, off balance. Another trick I learned was to attack while your opponent is off guard. So I grabbed his leg and shoved him with all the strength my scrawny arms could manage. He tripped, so I took the opportunity and kicked him in the knee with my boot. When he doubled over, I kneed his stomach. Good thing I'm scrawny enough to have sharp knees and elbows. I elbowed him in the back, then moved away from him.
He got up, then pinned me to the wall. With one blow to the face, I was crying. He never hit me that hard before. He hit me again, then let go of my shirt. He glared, then walked away. Angry, I picked a stone off the ground and hurled it at his head. He stopped suddenly. Crap...
