sex was the only thing that was holding zion and i's relationship and at this point i'm done.

"z?" i said softly. we were silently spooning in the bed while he plays with my hair. he hummed in response. "i know it's not just me but..i think we're drifting...like really bad." i said. zion sat up and so did i, covering my upper body. "i know" he dug his face in his hands tugging on his dreads. "listen i don't want this zion..but..but we're toxic." i rubbed his back as he stayed tangled up in his hands.

"i know...i just don't want to loose you." he looked straight in my eyes. "neveah, i really am trying to fall back in love with you..but.."

"z..z it's it's fine baby.." i said, tears forming in my eyes. "i don't want this either but it's for the better. at least until we get our shit together." i laughed.

zion smiled with tears falling down his face. "i promise i never stopped loving you for the three years we've been together veah, i promise" he hugged me. "not until now baby i promise" i cried into his shoulder.

i pulled back and looked him in his watery eyes and said, "baby i promise when i get myself together i promise i'll come back okay? i just need time. alone time...okay?" tears rapidly fell from my eyes making him giggle and wipe them away.

his hand rested on my cheek and i held it there.

we shared one last kiss before we fell asleep to wake up and leave each others side.
