There is a pretty unknown theory about the old Bonnie in FNaF 2. The theory is when the words "malfunctioning" come up in red, they resemble Bonnies' eye during the opening scene. But, the words go from red, to blue. And, when he's in your office in the trailer, he has red eyes, and the protagonist puts on the Freddy head.
The theory states that Bonnie will be malfunction, therefore making him like this: when he comes in your office with red eyes, you must put in your Freddy head, as he is going for you, as programmed. But, when he has blue eyes, he is going for the Animatronics, hence, malfunctioning.
He will be a test of reaction. What you do with his eye color determines your fate.
Blue eyes: No mask, Alive. Mask, Dead.
Red eyes: No mask, Dead. Mask, Alive.
