How would have Follow Me Back ended if Blair had lost interest in Tessa?
I wrote this, and I just thought "Screw it. How bad could it be to publish it?" So here.
The characters and some of the lines are owned by adam_and_jane . A lot of dialogue i...
"Here we go." Eric took his hands out of his pocket and stood tall, straightening the rabbit's foot that hung around his neck. Inside, his heart was racing. He was finally going to meet Tessa. He felt like he was going to explode. Inside, he was also nervous. Tessa had reacted badly when he revealed that he, "Taylor", was a man. Not only that, but he promised her after that that he wouldn't keep any more secrets from her. How would she react to finding out one more secret? Eric perked up at the sight of two beams of light coming into view. He leaned forward, his heart exploding in his chest, before sighing in disappointment as the headlights disappeared and were replaced with the faint red glow of taillights before disappearing. "Dammit, Tessa." He sighed. As each moment passed, he grew more irritated and restless. What if she got too panicked to even leave the house? Then he would just be sitting here, freezing his butt off, all night in the parking lot of an empty two-lane highway. Maybe if he DMed her, he could figure out what the holdup was. Tonight was the only night that he could do this, to see her. He couldn't just let her pass this up. He looked down at his phone at the Twitter homepage. There was a little blue flag, which meant he had an unread message. He clicked the icon, and it brought him to his messages.
Tessa H: Sorry, I'll be a bit late. Took a wrong turn.
Immediately, the tension slipped away from his body and he let out a sigh of relief. She was still coming. Eric hugged his jacket tighter against his body as a cold gust of air whipped by him. After a few minutes, He saw another pair of headlights. These ones didn't stop and turn around like the past few. The SUV pulled up, and Eric could faintly see the outline of the two in the car. The car pulled up in front of him and came to a halt. By this point, Eric's hands were shaking. Whether it was from the cold or from the levels of anxiety running through his veins, he didn't know. Slowly, the passenger's side opened, and for the first time, he saw Tessa. She stepped out of the SUV, her hand gripping the door. She looked terrified yet overjoyed. He could easily see her pale skin, and her wavy brown cascaded down her back. Eric sucked in a breath, preparing to say the one thing he ever wanted to say to her. "Tessa, I did write that song about you."

Tessa couldn't believe it. Eric Thorn was right in front of her, in the flesh. Around his neck, there was the pink rabbit's foot that she had specifically asked Taylor to wear. But this was Eric Thorne. On the inside, Tessa started panicking. Why was Eric wearing the rabbit's foot? Was Taylor Eric? No, Taylor promised that he wasn't hiding any secrets after he revealed his gender. Could that mean that Taylor was inside the pub, waiting for Eric and her to come in? Come on, Tessa She thought to herself. Breathe. Eric one...Eric two...Eric three... But she was too nervous to get calm now. What would she say? Her idol was standing right in front of her, and she can't get a single word out of her mouth. Eric was also anxious. He hands were shaking. Or was that the cold? Tessa didn't know, but she was fairly confident that he was nervous. "Tessa, I did write that song about you." He finally said, breaking the awkward silence between the two. Tessa's heart exploded right then and there. Her mind went back to her and Taylor's exchange from a few days ago. Tessa told Taylor about her obsession with Eric Thorn's song "Snowflake." It was the only song that he ever put the word "love" in. Did that mean Taylor was Eric? There was no way that she had been unknowingly been messaging her idol. But then why would he have the pink rabbit's foot, and how would he have known of her obsession over "Snowflake?" Unless Eric hacked her and Taylor's DMs, then the celebrity standing right in front of her was, in fact, Taylor. Slowly, her shock and joy gave way to a deeper emotion. Her stomach churned and her happiness slowly contorted to anger. Tessa walked right up to Eric, and she slapped him.
Eric froze, feeling a sharp sting cover the left side of his face. She slapped him. She actually slapped him. In all honesty, Eric was expecting the typical fangirl's "OOOOMMMMMGGGGG!" when they finally met. He was expecting something from the range of a freak out to a kiss. She was a fangirl, after all. Instead, she slapped him. But she's also Tessa, Eric realized. And Tessa hates secrets. He screwed up. In front of him, Tessa's eyes were filled with red hot anger and betrayal. "Tessa, what the heck?" Eric demanded, cradling his cheek. Tessa's body was tense and her eyes were narrowed. "Where's Taylor?" Tessa demanded. Her therapist was watching, looking slightly shocked at the turn of events that has happened for the past few minutes. Eric couldn't blame her. It went from Tessa and her therapist learning that Tayor was a supermodel to Tessa slapping him hard. "I'm Taylor, Tessa. It's me." Eric tried to reassure her, but Tessa wasn't convinced in the slightest. "No you're not! Taylor's a real person." "What's that supposed to mean?" Eric asked, trying to grasp her anger. "I want Taylor! Where's Taylor?" She demanded, taking a small step back. "There was supposed to be a real Taylor!" "I am the real Taylor. Listen to me! I'm Eric Taylor Thorn!" Eric desperately told her, hoping that his desperation wasn't too clear in his voice. "I'm real. I'm Taylor. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I was just scared, okay?" Tessa was shaking, and her eyes were slightly glossy. "I didn't tell you the truth, and I'm sorry. There's too many fans to know which ones are wonderful and which ones are psychopathic. I didn't know if you would be the psychopathic type or not, or if someone else saw our messages and would know that I'm Eric Thorn." Eric explanation started to turn into a ramble. He was letting so much off of his chest right now. He could finally tell her everything without having to worry about his identity. Tessa still seemed incredibly suspicious of him, but there was a slight hint realization and understanding in her eyes. "I-I..." Tessa trailed off, but instead of finishing her sentence, she turned back to her therapist. She took a deep breath and looked Eric in the eye. "Well, let's have this concert, then." She wasn't obviously angry anymore, but she didn't exactly sound friendly. It was understandable, of course, but that didn't make it hurt any less. Eric sighed, and he turned to head inside, but a faint glimmer of movement caught his attention. Eric froze, immediately tensing up. Was someone watching them? He certainly did feel that same icy coolness that trickled down his spine whenever the paparazzi were filming him, but this also felt slightly different. It felt off. Not like how it usually feels. He looked directly at where he thought the movement came from, but the overgrowth was still, only rustling when a breeze whipped past them. Tessa was sending him a look, and by how tense she was he knew that she saw it, too.
